This Toyota dealership always sells the parts online cheaper than list price. I've picked up a few things from there. Haven't had to wait more than a couple days on anything.

That is the standard price on that site, they have the largest regular discount I could find.

So to keep up with this thread I bought these Mtech bulbs to see how they compare to the Osram Rallye bulbs

The claims of 100/90 -> 170/160 is a bit misleading. It is saying the output is whiter in color therefore looks like a 170/160w bulb in color, even though the output is actually less than a standard 100/90w bulb due to the coating. The bulb life will also be pretty short as blue coating cause halogen bulbs to run hot, and it is already going to be very hot due to being overwattage.

I think from my understanding the claim of it being 100/90 -> 170/160, is probably compared to a HID of that wattage. Yeah and I do agree that these bulbs probably won't last long due to coating but for the price they are worth the try. I'll post some pictures later tonight of the outputs.

HIDs are 35w. Higher wattage 55w overdriven HIDs actually make the bulb more yellow in color. PIAA makes the same kind of claim for their blue tinted halogens. With the HID on the box they are just claiming the color looks like HID instead of halogen.

Oh ok I understand, so these will kinda perform like the philps racing bulbs, but in a higher voltage

So light output on my street of the mtecs pretty similar to the Osram Rallye bulbs

High beam output doesn't compare to Osram bulbs though

Your truck should be power/positive switched.

For early 2nd Gen there is this for the fogs. Note this is extremely bright and while cut offs are maintained, it should only be run when needed, not as an ‘aux driving light’ left on all the time.

Night Breaker H4 + 150% are nice and the distance output is a little further than the Philips + 130% but to me don't really look much brighter.

No lux measurements? The +150s in the H11s weren’t actually much brighter, just a fair amount whiter. Disappointing for a pricey bulb.

Agreed I will get light measurements for you, winter weather always messes something up. On a side not the top screw sheered in half while taking the Washer Fluid Container, anyone have a spot I can get one from?

Note the harness is not required for the fogs, but will help improve output.

Just did this upgrade today on my 2013 Tacoma. Anxious to go drive tonight to see the difference. I went with the Headlight Services harness and it is solid as crashnburn80 stated. After reading this entire forum on bulb choices, I went with Osram Night Breaker Laser 60/55w bulbs. I may try a different bulb next time but starting with these. I will say the harness is barely long enough, depending on where you mount the relays. I mounted mine next to the fuse box on the cab side rather than the battery side. Other than that, piece of cake. Thanks for all the info and offline convo crashnburn80, much appreciated.

Not to disappoint you, but while the Night Breaker Laser seems like a good choice with the +150 rating, there is too much coating on the bulb and the output really isn’t great, certainly not what you would expect for a +150 bulb. At least in the H11 version I tested. You will see an improvement over stock running those bulbs and the harness, but you can get much better output running different bulbs with less coating.

What bulbs would you recommend? The GE megalight ultra 120?
