Damn. I was about to feel really bad that your controller went out right after you sent me your spare! Glad they took care of you though!

Smoked a tritip for supper tonight. Just meat and Montreal steak seasoning, nothing special. Gonna clean out the freezer by the time this shutdown is over...

I threw some tri tip on the grill for dinner with spicy pitface and then some SPG. Was damn good. Wanted to smoke a whole tri tip tomorrow but the girl got cut pieces instead of a whole slab :annoyed:

Before I woke up this morning dreamed I was smoking something but not sure what was in the WSM, woke up before I could find out. Must mean I need to smoke something. -9 this morning. Want to smoke something or at least grill. Older I get the harder it is deal with the cold. Half a foot of snow on the deck need to clear off yet too.

Another 8-12" white shit on Tuesday when that global warming hits here. May be awhile before I light fires again.

Lumpia sure does sound good. Checked last night and according to Google the nearest Filipino restaurant near me is Va. Beach, Va. LOL was stationed at Portsmouth, Little Creek and Norfolk. And a few others over the years. Many of the cooks on the ships especially West Coast were Filipino so didn't usually have to go far to get some. Pulling into PI pretty regularly it was everywhere of course. Guess Va. Beach is a lot closer.

I thought of that too lol. I really don't think the controller is bad. My theory is there was a bridge in the pellet hopper, and stopped feeding pellets just long enough for the fire to go out. Time will tell I guess.

Growing up in Florida, I never understood why the snowbirds would uproot their entire lives and travel cross country to live in my neighborhood for half of the year. The older I get, the better I understand.

Well it got up to 5 above. -5 windchill. So I put on my big boy pants and shirt. AKA: wool long johns.

Cheddarwurst. Bacon wrapped little smokies. Topped with Sweet Baby Ray's at the end.

Was hard to get a picture once done, the heat coming off them created quite the cloud in the cold. But damn it was good. Worth it.

At 275 it’s not long....maybe 2 hours tops. Smoke her to 125-130, sear it at the end. Wouldn’t cook over 145.

There was some really good looking sirloins on sale today at Kroger, so I decided to do some kabobs.

This is prior to rubbing them down with a little concoction.

Ended up adding chicken and some jalapeno poppers to the mix. This is where I show my appreciation for the surface area of the 26" Weber.

Ooooohhhh boy was that steak good. Everything got a nice coating of melted butter and garlic while finishing up on the grill. I love grilled tomatoes, too. Not sure why that isn't a regular thing for me.

I don't know about having issues but you sure as hell don't when it comes to your cooking and smoking. That looks so damn good my stomach just growled. And think it did a flip or 2. Hmmm have 30 minutes before my next meeting....
