He was indeed. And the fact that it was solid Ice underneath, it took longer to get him out than I’m willing to admit.

Had my winch hooked to a tree in front of me because I couldn’t get enough traction. Tried to just winch him out but just kept sliding tword him

 

Do you carry a snatch block? What size winch do you have?

Was he with you, or just massively lucky to have someone there with the right equipment to get the job done?

 

He was with me haha. Actually he got to the top of the hill before me and tried to hit the deep snow, and he was lucky he was able to wave me down before I got to the top because I was about to do the same thing. But a few weeks ago I did come across a guy that was stuck overnight, and I helped him out. He said other people stopped and said they’d get help but never came back

Hot dang man, was that in the scrap pile at your work? A little wire brushing and seasoning brought it back to new!

 

Scrap/random pile at the home shop, we burnt a whole bunch of stuff last night, managed to save it today. According to http://www.castironcollector.com/ it was made anywhere from 1922-1959
