Wondering how these will fit my 2002 with 265/70's? From what I understand I'll need a spacer but how much? I'm not a fan of big spacers....

If those are third gen wheels then it’ll have the same backspacing as my TRD OR wheels. They’ll rub the frame but only at full lock.

Spacers made the rubbing worse when I tried them.

Yes they are 2016+ Tacoma 16" wheels.

I was told they would work, then was told I would need a minimum of a 1.25" spacer. So was hoping to clear up this he said she said misinformation...how big was the spacer you tired that made it worse?

I used 1.25 and 1.75. At 1.25 it rubbed the mudflaps and pinch weld. At 1.75 it rubbed the frame, rather badly.

I live with the rubbing it has without spacers. Spacers made my rubbing worse. I guess it also depends on the height of your tire.

These wheels will never fit correctly. If you see the stance it sits tucked into the wells.

Hmm, my truck is at stock height with a 1" leveling kit. Not sure if I'd be able to live with the rubbing. Thanks for the info though!

I should add the rubbing with spacers happened when I still had stock suspension. I have a 2.5” lift now and I haven’t tried spacers yet.

I have 265/75/16 so that’s probably why it was rubbing.

They did rub on my 2nd gen trd wheels though. Those sat a tiny bit closer in, but it was enough.

Truck looks good. I guess I'm going to buy them and find out, since it's a good deal. If not I'll try to resell them haha. Guy is offering 4 for $200 obo. If they're still available this weekend I'll give him my best offer.

I have these on stock size tires and I don’t think I have any rubbing. C6557F07-CE3B-4869-856B-E2730A96BAC3.jpg

My experience is pretty much the same as Barts. I actually have two sets of those same type of wheels. The frame rub on my truck is only with my MT tires, no rub with my all season summer tires. And even then, it is only at absolute full lock, just a slight release and it goes away. You get used to when to stop. I tried 1.25 spacers, and that caused a rub at pinch weld (bad).

It depends on how you asked the question 'will it work'. What do you mean by will it work, "'6 lug pattern' will it work" or "'backspacing' will it work". Too vague.

That sounds like a pretty good deal.

I just paid $590.00 for this set of 4 from a 2018 and I thought that was a fair price. Tires have 12000 miles and retail would be around $420 or so for them. Rims are in excellent condition. Wish they would have been 265s, but they were the exact rims I wanted and only a 2 hr drive (CL), so I was happy. I'll run these in non-Winter months.
