Are you really quoting prices for something you paid for 21 years ago?
If the Canadian dollar wasnt so weak and the government didn't tax the hell out of their citizens then the tacoma would be more competively priced. Blame the Canadian government, not Toyota.

He is just saying that the prices have gone up astronomically in the past 20 years. Faster than inflation, that is for sure.

I have the same feeling about 45k+ vehicles being the norm now. I like cars but damn, for that price I have better things to do with my money.

    Totally this ^^^^^
There was a time when us Canadians were buying up vehicles, quads, sleds and boats when our dollar was good

Can someone do the math on this USD/CAN $ ?

My TRD Off Road access cab was $42122 CAD (~32k USD) with a trd pro skid plate and a set of Ko2s.

Ranger is priced right around where Toyota Tacoma is priced. Frontier is a bit cheaper. The dealer labelled it wrong as pointed out.

I got my 2017 new TRD OR double cab for $38,000 plus fees and gst in Alberta for reference. Prices have gone up both for 2018 and 2019 though.

I don’t fan boy, all brands are good in their own right. Now I wouldn’t buy a chev. Owned a chev car, which constantly broke, used a 2500 HD plow truck, also constantly broke and had very little power for a HD. I just like tacos cause they look nice and handle well

Only way that is $58k, is if it's a PRO with ad-ons. O.R.s go for $44k in Canada.

    Do your homework OP.

Hyundai is going to see huge gains in sales. Since the US manufacturers aren't building cars any more. Most consumers can't afford trucks and SUVs at today's prices.

That seems about 2-4k high for a double cab with U.S. prices.

Eugene, OR? Or is there a Eugene in Canada that you are in?

The average goes up when you have less actual vehicles on the road...

Took me 4 months of searching the Country (Canada Eh!) to find a good used Taco. Try having a look in the oil patch, sadly lots of guys had to turn their trucks in with the Federal Imbeciles messing up the economy.

I think i got a smokin' deal on a heavily modded truck with only 19k on it. Flew out to Edmonton and drove it back to Onterrible.

Worth considering and can rcmd a dealer to work with if interested?
