Was perusing the 4Runners forum on behalf of my GFs 2018 4Runner TRDOR and came across these switches.

Seem legit. Was wondering if anyone has had them or any feedback.

    TIA...

If you were wondering, they also have normal ones like "grille lights", "winch", fornt/rear "locker" etc. But these were the more entertaining of the bunch. :)

Just looked at their site, ordering the CB radio one they have :) I need a on off switch since my antenna is power up/down and I need to cut power to lower the antenna when going into the parking ramp.

Wish they had smaller ones for the side panel.

So has anyone tried these switches / can post a picture of the color match?

Thanks. So better match than ch4x4 but sill not perfect. It does look like at least the color tone is close just not the brightness, do you think with a resistor to dim them they would be better?

Possibly. But I think pumping all the time, effort, and research into $10 switches is kind of over kill. They fit perfectly and you probably won’t find a any switch that the glow/tint matches perfectly that doesn’t have “Toyota Motor Company” stamped on the back.

Here’s a better pic. Note the BYB and Roo accessories (bumper light bar and ditch lights) are switched to on. The graphic portion of the switch illuminated when the switch is pushed on.

If you open up any of these switches there is a resistor for each led and you can change it to alter the brightness (often 1k-3k, I’ve gone up to 20k on some, values by color). Being cheap only lessens the risk when messing around with them. A mod doesn’t have to be expensive to be worthwhile, quite the opposite. It’s called bang for the buck.

Ive been playing around trying to find the perfect match led/resistor combo for the mictuning switches. Its relatively easy to desolder the leds and resistors on the mictuning boards. Closest ive got is swapping the 5k resistors for 10k to knock the brightness down and 475nm leds seem to be closer to what the AOB switches are but still not a perfect match. Let me see if I have some pics somewhere.

I don't think that matches, but I dress myself everyday and sometimes my wife offers me "guidance"

Now the PICTURES look great but the real installed photos are waaay off.

The Tailgate drop switch is original mictuning (ch4x4) blue. The rear cam is with the 10kohm 475nm led combo i soldered on. Pics don't do it justice.

    20190911_075153.jpg

This is the only picture I have of the board when I had one of the leds swapped. Blue is the 475nm. And the resistors are the original. Swapped those after this pic. Actually hooked a potentiometer up to try and dial it in, settled on 10k.
