And there’s a reason he didn’t. You’re waving this anti flag of the Patriots not being great and legitimately every intelligent sports analyst laughed at Brady for saying that shit last week.

No one thinks that except blinded homers trying to somehow feel even more ridiculously inflated about the Patriots crazy run. Seriously. No one.

Platoon who was banged up in the regular season, Michel was injured a while. No real bell cow there..though that's not uncommon.

Gronk had a down year, plus I think he's on the decline. I think Kelce this year was the best TE in terms of receiving.

Edelman and Hogan, yup. Edelman could do well anywhere, not sure re Hogan and Patterson. Dorsett is a spare part, only reason he's getting some time now is Gordon retired.

I'll agree they have a good team..on offense. Their D hasn't impressed me this year.

I don’t know what Andy Reid is more afraid of, playing in the Super Bowl or vegetables without ranch dip.

Reid is just like a jeep, gets you to the trail, but doesn't bring it home.

Michel was pretty good until he got hurt. He came back and has done well. James White has had an excellent year as the real #1.

Patterson is benefiting from Brady. He’s not that good. He’ll flame out elsewhere a la Mike Wallace (pending he puts up those numbers).

Defense has improved enough over the year. It was really, really skeptical early on.

All true but he showed when it mattered. The rest of the best have to watch him in another Superbowl. Mahomes is no flash in the pan, he'll be back. Every year coaches get taken to task about decisions they make, win or lose, you can bet Andy Reid will face this one. Both QB's were excellent, the game probably came down to the coin toss.

    Damn, tough loss.

    OT rules are trash.

Defense is trash. Not just Ford's fault. Fuller failed to shut Edelman down on 3rd downs and Berry let Gronk have an easy pass that dropped em right on the goal line in OT.

Next year, boys! Fear the Mahomes!

Gronk was considering retirement as well. I've never loved the guy, mainly his childish antics. The Super Bowl in 2011 will always stand as a negative on him. The guy's ankle was so messed up he couldn't play much, but he didn't mind dancing around on stage shirtless like a moron later that night.

I’m s Pats fan. But not the kind to piss and moan for days or even call a radio station crying like an idiot about calls or whatever....

That being said. I would not have been disappointed to see Mahomes make it.
He had a great year and I would like to think he will be on that big stage someday.
    But go Pats!

I think there’s serious beef between him and Bill. Rumor had it that there was a problem between Bill and Kraft.

Either way, it’s working. Pittsburgh’s drama keeps them out of the playoffs. Color me jealous.

The reason he didnt is because gronk wouldnt play in detroit only wanted to play with brady. Even threatened retirement. If BB had his way he would be in detroit.

And im definitely not a homer i bet against them 2 weeks in a row. But hey whatever u say.

I certainly won't complain about James White in the backfield.

Yeah, I think Cordarelle had a lot of hype and was a bust in Minnesota. Whether he ever becomes more than a 3/4 and ST guy, IDK. Wallace at least was a 1/2 for a time.

I'm still not loving our defense. Then again I'm a little spoiled from the early 2000s of our D.

That wouldn't shock me, I've always thought similar reasons are why Wes Welker didn't re-up with the team. Bill certainly does not suffer jackasses in the least though..IE Gronk.

Not sure about the BB/Gronk thing but I know Gronk said he wouldn't play elsewhere, plus I would guess his contract gives him right of refusal.

He was talking about retirement before that all came about last year

He should be a top guy based on his size and who is throwing him the ball. He’s got the greatest coach (I don’t care about his scandals, he’s still the GOAT and Brady is a shell of himself without him) setting it up for him. Don’t pull a Blount and your middle of the road NFL talent will shine.

Most defenses are looking meh this year. Air raid has taken over.

Guess he's not as dumb as he acts. Football players in general aren't renowned for their wisdom, they just need to stay legal so the coach can aim them at the other team.

I question whether White could carry the mail all season..then again he don't have to really.

In general, the league has long been legislating defense out of the passing game. I remember loving the Rams/Bucs NFC title game in the 99 season..final score was 11-6, I loved it.

In particular, people sometimes (even longtime Pats fans) can forget the 2001 season defense..Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, Willie McGinest, Ted Johnson, Tedy Bruschi, Roman Phifer... I can see why because everyone hears Brady

Sometimes I wonder about Gronk though haha..it's more he acts like a 22 year old frat boy who had a bit too much to drink with his decisions.
