Tomorrow I get a new hood put on my 18DCSB Cement with 20K. Gotta leave it for a few days but the dealer was not interested in trying the adhesive and honestly with all the rock chips i already have, I am good with it too.

I tries to get a sport hood for my OR but that was a no go :)

Tomorrow, I'm going to work. I have to be there at 9:30, kind of late for me, but my customer....

I'm driving my '07, the '19 stays at home all clean.

$20k for hood is outrageous, they’re like 1500 OEM

Wow intense douchbaggery tonight. New hood on a '18 due to manufacturing defects. Should I link the other posts about the topics and dealer issues?

Great that defective part is being replaced. Yikes. What was the issue with the hood? I've seen numerous paint issues.

Adhesive holding the skin to the structure. It would flutter on the highway. Two other tacomas at the dealer had the same failure. And they have had to deal with the clearcoat issue on the blue multiple times.

It's 20K miles he has, not a cost of $20,000.

Is this different than the hood flex issue? My hood would move around a little on the highway but they just changed up the clamp settings.

Are you having an issue with your paint? Your post doesn't provide much info.

Ignore them, literally. That one dude up there parades his lift on every thread likes he's discovered gold. Lol.
Glad you're getting your hood fixed. Update in another 10k miles to see how it's holding up.

I was just out of warranty when I picked up my (new to me) '16 and it had the hood flutter issue. They wouldn't touch it do it was a DIY fix for me. 2-month and the adhesive is still doing well. Good deal for you to get a new hood....I was about 1-week too late but it worked out fine in the end.

I think it was the brief post... kind of a neaner neaner, I’m getting new hood...

Would’ve had better responses with a bit of background of issues. Congrats! I’m sure it was a struggle with the dealer.
