Got started tonight! First two issues I'm running into are my ac lines are getting pinched between the fender and wastegate.

And there's no way to utilize the factory intake? Any intakes that are snorkel friendly out there?

Is air/water going to be helpful in an offroad rig. The kit I bought came with it and I'm not sure it's worth the extra hassle of plumbing everything.

Bought it from a member here. Sounds like he pieced most of it together himself.

 

If you're a second gen 5 lug there's a company on AliExpress that sells the manifold and down pipe for around $400. Mine just came in

Been looking for a solution myself. Maybe an in line filter like this but it'll take a little fab'ing

I saw those and k&n makes something similar too. The k&n has options for vacuum lines. I'm not particularly a fan of the cloth style filter for one and the factory airbox has area for water to settle and not be sucked right into the intake. Driving in heavy rain the snorkel does intake some water but it mostly pools up in the bottom of the intake box. I may try my hand at making a custom box that'll use the oem filter if I can't find another vehicle with the inlet and outlet opposite each other.

The AFE filters are good and a little water isn't an issue. There are two types of car owners, those that worry about water in their engine and those that inject water in their engine

Either way, this or the stock box, itll take some fabricating.

 

I absolutely love smoking full size 2500 trucks on the highways doing pulls in a 1st gen tiny pussy V6 turbo baja 4x4 locked Tacoma. Might need to pull the camera files on that last one lolz. That is all.....

 

Need to get a pull with the V and the taco same time.

 

Im laughing so hard but youre right it could be cool. Its like 2 different worlds. Comparing a pistol or a rifle or shotgun. Im looking for my highway vid today maybe i can get it over here somehow
