Hmmmm, you know what, you actually might be able to. Probably not though. I don’t know if you could compress the coil enough

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like you had a great time at the Dakar. Monica gonna go under the knife to meet their specs or a bridge too far? :D

I work up at the bird and it's been a mess up here all weekend. More snow on the way as well. MLK day weekend is usually the biggest crowds of the season

Yeah, tmrw is bound to be fun. Head 4-8" in the valley and 1-2' in the mountains!

I feel a very slight vibration when I decelerate and come to around 25 - 20mph, so I'm considering replacing the stock needle bearing with a ECGS bushing. Kinda thinking ahead and planning for the future. I would like to do the ECGS bushings when I remove my coilovers and make the height adjustment. It's like killing 2 birds with one stone. It makes the work load alittle more convenient and it'll save me downtime. But right now I'm just gathering information to see if others have made ECGS mods and how it had worked out for them.

I feel the ECGS bushing is a must on lifted Tacoma. I had the vibration on my 2008 Tacoma and eventually lowered it to a 1" lift to get rid of it. On my 2017 I installed it with my lift and everything is nice and smooth.

I do have the removal tool. For the install I just borrowed a race/seal driver kit. I would be willing to loan out the removal tool.

Alta was Rad yesterday! Off the runs was VERY stiff mash potatoes, but good day to rip the groomers!

Yeah, I had to drive my dad to the airport this am, then head on in to work. The onramp to I-80 was pretty bad, and Sandy was all sorts of goofy this am.

I'd pick up the bushing and hold on to it. Your needle bearing will likely give out while you are still under powertrain warranty, esp with a lift, and you can try to get them to install it under warranty for the labor.

If you don't plan on using the removal tool anymore or would like to sell it, I would be willing to buy it from you. The problem with borrowing it, is that I don't know how long I would have it. It could be days or weeks.

I can certainly ask the dealer if they would install the bushing, I'd just didn't think they would install an aftermarket part and take the liability.

I am running their front diff bushing. Had it installed for about 50k miles now. My vibrations were terrible from the needle bearing prior to replacement, especially during the winter. Diff has been smooth as butter since install.

Just verify that is actually your issue before you purchase. If it goes away when you put it in 4wd, the needle bearing is your culprit.

Or be like me and somehow have your needle bearing and wheel bearing fail at the exact same time.

Well, they became heavily vibing, and had issues at the same time I should say. They didn't leave me stranded. PLUS they were both covered under warranty (despite Brent Brown's best efforts...), so it worked out pretty well.

Man I had the same issue back on my 2001 double cab, wish I would've know about ECGS back then. We need to introduce Toyota to East Coast Gear Supply and get it in from the factory.
