A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
That probably will work most of the time --TIILLL you get a cop whose wife has just told him she is leaving him and taking the kids --then he has to work his next shift then he sees you are not running the proper plate setup -- get the point?

Also we have a dealer near here that gives loaner cars to their customers who come in for service with their dealer stickers in place.
That's the only reason I would leave a dealer sticker on. Don't apply to me as it is a Chevy dealer

Norton in Tulsa puts a plug with their logo in the hitch. I threw it in their trash can, then went on my way.

The previous owners of my taco did not remove them. I did but the stickers "ghost" lives on. The sooner you remove the better!

Why don’t west coast dealers put stickers or dealer badges on their vehicles? The only thing they usually do is put dealership license plate frames on our trucks.

I have the dealer remove it. Like other have said, no free advertisement. I’m proud to drive a Toyota and will gladly keep their badges, but the dealership exists only to mark up the price of the vehicle and tack on needless bs to make additional profit. Leaving their sticker on my truck feels like saying, “here’s where I paid more money than I should’ve and had to argue with some slimy sales manager over the price of something I purchased.” Where else is placing a retailer sticker on an upsold item common practice?

I won't take delivery of a vehicle if has any, even the stupid license plate bracket - unless they are willing to pay me a monthly advertising fee.

Another SE PA owner here. I took the dealer decals off my 2010 when I bought it, but just bought a 2018 that came with no decal. Maybe they noticed I had taken their decal off 8 years ago and just saved us both the effort.

I tell them I wont sign until they are gone. The new vehicles I have purchased never had any installed, or the dealership wasn't into putting them on there.

The last car I bought, still has the plate frames, because I'm lazy, or don't care about them so much. One day I'll take those of.

Funny thing about those frames, some people care about them, and will bitch if you don't put them back on their vehicle.

I bought a new WRX well over a decade ago. Everything on the lot had pinstriping. I'm sure I played for it, I didn't care about wasting money back then. I peeled the pinstriping off the moment I got home.

I made removing the decals a condition of purchase on my last vehicle. I knew I could take them off easily myself, but I wanted to let them know I wouldn’t give them free advertising.

I kept the license plate frame and put it on when I go in for service. Not because I expect better service, but because I bought it from the cross town rival. The dealer close to me pissed me off beyond belief trying to screw me on my deal while the competition graciously matched my out of state offer. I will use them once I have to start paying for oil changes, but for now it is too far to drive. Petty I know...
