No issues there as I know how a torque wrench works!

Camry seats are nice if you hate yourself and can't do anything the easy way. The Tacoma has a wireing harness for power seats already ran so it makes it easy to get that working.

Hey guys, Nashville guy checking in. Bought this truck about 2 months ago, just got the wheels on this weekend and the lift should be here in a few days.

Took the runner up into the mountains yesterday. Still can’t get over how much the lift and tires changed the look of it.

How much lift? Looks like more fender gap above tires than i have.

Hey y'all, new ish to TacomaWorld, but I've had my Tacoma about a year now. I'm trying to avoil the stealerships, and do simple maintenance myself. However I'm no mechanic, and I'd like to find a reputable trustworthy place to take my truck if need be in the Clarksville area.

Anyone know of a decent shop that's familiar with 3rd gen Tacos in North Central Tennessee/Hopkinsville KY?

3” icon stage 2 kit on 285/70’s. I haven’t measured hub to fender or anything so I’m not sure. I was going to drive around for a bit and let it settle and then check it.

Maybe the weight difference in the 3rd row and skids?

Look like turkey bay.. As far as shop in that location I'm not to sure. May try looking at the Google reviews then calling the better shops to see which you like best?

Nah, i set my lift at 1.5" so you lifted twice as much. That's what i was seeing. My skids weigh less than 20 pounds all total so there is no height loss from that.

Any of y'all used those shrinkwrap window insulation kits? I just had to order two packs of that and two 90' rolls of rope caulk. My heater doesn't shut off for more than 5 minutes with this cold. Having these shitty single pane windows all over the house doesn't help..

Oh I gotcha. Any idea how strong your gas tank skid actually is? I’ve gotta figure something out for that soon.

Those things work pretty good actually. I lived in a shitty farm house in college that was single pane and no caulk around them and they would keep the house at a balmy 64 with the plastic up. That was probably 10* warmer than it was without, this was with real cold weather, not "southern cold" where it hits 40* one night and the Walmarts clear out of supplies.:D

Yeah, it's dipping into the 20s over the next week or so and my heater doesn't stay off for very long at a time. And it's electric heat so I'm going to get it up the butt when my utility bill comes in.

It was 3° this morning at my house.

I've also used the window shrink wrap. When I was single, man's best friend for saving a bit on the utilities. Because we all know you don't use curtains and blinds, that shit is for sissies!

I have yet to get this thing off-road. I think LBL will be the first trip I make it to

Tough to say. The material makes it slick and very puncture resistant. Should glide off rocks. Assume it's more resistant to dents than oem but it's still oem underneath so could still get dented in. Much cheaper than buying an aluminum skid though and lighter.

Going to attempt a suspension lift myself (with help of a friend) within the next couple months, and looking for a place to take it for alignment/checkup afterwards.

Or if I run into mechanical issues at LBL, just knowing a shop I'd like to tow it to. Sadly I'm going to miss this year's Taco get together at LBL in March.

If you have the tools and I’m free I can lend a hand on the lift. I’ve lifted 2 3rd gen runners and 2 2nd gen tacos.
