    Clearly you've never heard of the New England Patriots (which seems preposterous, if you're in this thread), who are based in Massachusetts but also have thousands of fans in Maine, NH, Vermont, & Connecticut. :notsure:

    Also, all of those states are day driving distance from their stadium lol. Texas isn’t even a day drive from Texas

    The problem is that the NFL wants a "large market" team in the superbowl, and will bend over backwards to help insure that happens.
    The officials throw flags all the time... then pick them up a minute later and exclaim "there was no foul on the play". I think there had already been a play like that in the game yesterday.
    But if they would have thrown that particular flag, it all but assures the Saints victory. By not throwing that particular flag, they throw the Rams a lifeline to grab on to.

    New Orleans will never be a "large market" team. The NFL just needs to admit that if you're a small market, the odds are stacked against you.

    Personally I'm just glad that the superbowl is NOT played in New Orleans this year. I don't know how Sean McVay can hold his head up, and act like nothing happened.

    Not to jump off topic here, but did it seem to anybody else like Tony Romo was trying to snag a head coach/defensive coordinator job with his commentary last night? He must have called the Patriots plays correctly 75% of the time.
