Started my bed rack build

been looking at RTT pretty hard so figured what the hell let’s build a roof rack. Looked at quite a few and just decided to make my own. Building to fit a 48x56” RTT as that seems to be a very common size tent that fits my needs. Also used square tubing instead of round to match my custom grille guard. Debating putting some angle pieces on the very back that come down to the back edge of the tailgate so then it’d be stupid easy to have a custom canvas top made if I ever wanted to enclose it.

 

Rack looks great. What is the purpose of that front grill guard?
