The KC looks pretty good imo, but doesnt seem to flow as well. What I prefer on the BD, is that they are legit red diodes and not just red lenses.

It would be cool if the KC version had slots tipped down for the bed lights

I would think that it would be @mesojdm best interest to include or sell optional wedge/adapter plates for the KC version. So that the end user could choose how to outfit their own.

With 5 lights there are many possible variations between chase, brake, and cargo it could be difficult to please everyone without making multiple versions. However if an adapter plate was make to tilt a single light down a few degrees, the owner could chose to have any number or position of cargo directed lights, rear facing stop, and or rear facing chase. Some may not want/need cargo or chase lights at all.

I wouldn’t say “in @mesojdm best interest.” His products sell out upon release. It could be a great idea that he works on, if it’s possible.

I'm working on a base wedge adapter now. The problem is the outside lights are using the through bolt to mount the light and the light pod. Once they are canted, it's going to require 2 different bolts(one to mount thought the light pod into the cab, and the other to mount the light to pod)

FINE. You have left me no choice. Warning..it's a beast.

This this is WIDEEEE. I have to go make sure it will still fit to the roof contours, as I know the edges of the roof start dropping down.
It's ~ 23MM wider on each end. Squeezed as tight together as possible. The BLUE indicates the stock footprint

I threw some vortex generators on for fun because the top looked too naked. Plus you get 3.8MPG more with them on.

Sorry, I think I phrased poorly.

What I was going for, and trying to say, was that rather than Stew making a "boat load" of different versions to satisfy every persons different desire, as he has had to do with the switch panels (prolly no other way to do it fir them) for example, would be him making a wedged disc that fits in the hole meant for the KC light and them the KC light fits in/on that disc so that it is then angled down.

That would allow the end user to have pretty much any number of cargo directed lights. They could also be in any position like @NoOne or like @Black1Tacoma OR possibly just 1 in the middle with 2 brake and 2 chase. There are many possibilities, and we all like to make our Taco's our own.

You Sir are amazing at seeing things as possible that none of us have the imagination or courage to attempt. If there is a way, I have zero doubt you will find it.

I really like the new wide version. I like the concept of the angled 4 light version as well, but I'd prefer all of the lights to be flush with the housing like this new version. Thank you for continuing to be so innovative and for sharing your progress!

Damnit man. When I think I have it figured out you go and do this. I DO want to see it on a truck first but it does look really nice drawn up. Bravo.

I took this into consideration and used “science”. When that didn’t work, I chose “maths”. Apparently this isn’t algebra. My best guesstimates said, whatever the angle is for the light-tilt, so should the angle plate for the bolt (just opposite (180) orientation). This would apply, no matter which location you chose. The issue is the round is intended to hold the position snuggly, and we are inserting off-angle, so some issues will arise. Still thunking in my spare time.
But what does this translate to for BHP (horsepower at the butt-seat)?

EDIT: What I am saying is you still use the same bolt as original, you just have to compensate both sides of the centerline. (Diagram to follow)

Looks like an almost perfect solution. There will be a limit to how many degrees the tilt can have due to the non-tilted hole in the center of the light, however decreasing the diameter of said bolt will allow for a greater degree. Length may also need to be increased to allow for the extended reach requirement to fasten the bolt.

I would thing he could put a bit of an edge around the light end of the wedge to help hold the light center. A light sized bad of the wedge would also keep the wedge adapter in and centered in the brake light "light hole". Additionally this would allow for a more finished appearance.

Just trying to throw out any and all design into the ring to get some collective feedback. But at the end of the day everyone’s goal is different. So hopefully something that will work for everyone.
Like all my stuff, everything gets better with time:)
    Thanks!!
Lol. You already have 1! I’m test printing a 5 light housing now, so will report back week with some physical concepts everyone can discuss :D
