Nah, I stuck around for a bit after the Super Bowl. But I skipped out on most of the middle of the season last year, same as this season.
I have to admit, though, it's going to suck when Brady and/or Belichick retire and I have to watch the Patriots be an average team again.

Yes! I've been watching Monty on Netflix (or is it Amazon?) and it's SO grainy!

Don't worry, we got Mahomes on the up and coming and he's far more electrifying than Brady!

Shrug. So's Aaron Rodgers, but if you can't keep a good team around him he'll be a waste of $$. That's the trick

Hopefully he doesn't end up with a bum knee like RG3; mobile QB's that stay healthy season after season are a rare find

Mahomes is unreal, man. Rodgers and Brady will wish they was like Showtime when they were Showtime's age. Kid is smart and a sponge. He will learn, adapt, and elevate everyone around him.

Hell, I heard even Brady snuck to the Chiefs locker room to talk to Mahomes after the game. Brady KNOWS he's passing the torch to the kid real soon.

We'll see. I recall Colin K. having a similar reputation during his rookie season, until coaches/coordinators found a way to contain him. But, he didn't have Mahomes' arm and relied more on being unpredictable with his legs. I suppose Russell Wilson is more of an apt comparison in respect to arm strength & pocket mobility in that respect, but he still needs a good team around him to be any good.

Don't get me wrong; Mahomes has HUGE potential if the Chiefs can play their cards right, and it should be interesting to see how he develops over the next few seasons. I'm just pointing out that a rookie season isn't always a good indicator of a career, especially in the QB position. :notsure:

I know what you are saying. Mahomes had the benefit of growing up around professional talent and knows hard work. I truly believe he is different.

The future will tell us all.

Problem is, we have to frigging wait for it. I want to know now, so I can place some strategic wagers...

Eventually I want to move south. Ironically, my folks lived in Wyoming for several years before I was born..right after my dad got out of the Army I think.

I think he could be the real thing. Pretty damn amazing to hit some milestones already that most never did..such as 50 TD's in a season.

For all the grief Brady gets, I totally see him showing a young guy like Mahomes some love.

For real, he's got throwing skills like we've never seen. Side arm throws, no look throws, across the body throws. MAN, he's exciting!

Brady definitely acknowledges greatness on the rise. I always saw Brady as a legend, so it's pretty cool that he's seeing what could be a legend in the making to succeed him. Exciting times!

One of the throws he made I said to my wife "that damn side arm throw is so cool to watch".

Time will tell but nobody can argue he's very fun to watch.

Mahomes has a lot to learn, but has the potential to blow away Brady. But... he has to stay healthy, have a good O line for protection. A big part of the reason Brady is good is that he has so much time in the pocket that he literally could eat a sandwich before he throws the ball. Also Mahomes is way more mobile, unlike Brady.

Fo sho, he's already learned a lot and will continue to.

Our O-line isn't too bad either, but we had new guys inserted middle-end of the season. We had lost our doctor a few games in. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, one of our better O-lineman. Another was lost with a torn bicep that he played 1 arm all game for that I'll be excited to see again next year.

I'm not concerned with our offense though, they will only improve leaps and bounds. The draft this year is going to be tailored to defense for sure. We need secondary help bad.

Never seen anyone do it the way he does.
