I'm thinking of buying my first Tacoma. 2012 dbl cab with 160,000 miles for $11,999, my question is is that too many miles for the price. Any input would be appreciated

That's actually a damn good price! Just have it looked over by a trusted independent mechanic first...

4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, 4WD, TRD package? Need some details. But generally speaking, this is a pretty great deal.

Check the frame. check the frame. Check the frame.
Also this model had the secondary air pump issue.

And check for signs that it's been in accident or had bodywork done!

Check the frame. Chronic rust issues is Toyota's downfall. 2012s had the air pump issue too, so I'd look up the unifilter mod and inspect the foam filter in the pump.

    Too few to list.
As someone mentioned, 2012 is plague with the air injection issues.
Read this before you even thinking of buying because it will just keep happening.

The unifilter mod is $12 and eliminated the brittle filter that can kill the pump.

Bypass kit is $260 of you want to bypass.

Or OP can just look at a 2011 or older. No air pump, no problem.
It's not just the oem filter that's an issue. The valves themselves fall apart.
