Crank but no start

So i went and moved my truck and parked it with the front two wheels in 2wd on a little build up of snow and turned the truck off. I realized i was a little far from the curb so i go to restart the truck and it would crank but not start with the check engine light on. It did it twice before it would finally start. Is this something i should be concerned about or is it 3rd gen thing?

 

A lot of engines, no matter the brand, don't like restarting after a hot shutdown. Ignore it this time. If it happens again, take it in.

 

What you said is ridiculousl .A truck that doesn't start has an issue and is not normal .

Chalk this up as a one time fluke.
If it happens again. The have concern.

In a non push to start vehicle the fuel pump usually comes on for a couple seconds when the key is turned to the on position to prime the fuel rail. With push to start that doesn’t happen so longer cranks are common.

 

hold your foot to the floor on the pedal ad try again? keep in mind I am pre fly by wire

 

Have had something like this happen before, my truck still gets me from point a to point b in style.

Engines don't like restarting after a hot shutdown? Everytime you shut off your engine at temp is a hot shutdown.

 

It started back up, what’s the problem?

That's possible, I was just agreeing with the previous post. I've had plenty long cranks on my tacoma, key ignition.

Not every minor annoyance with vehicles is a problem. No matter the make.
It's winter, vehicles do strange things sometimes.

 

If you stall out your truck in traffic and try to restart it and it doesn't start, you would be ok with that? What if a tractor trailer is about the kill you? I would expect my truck to start .Sorry .

They're just getting warmed up.....

 

It is push button but was just really werid that it started fine then drove for 30 secs then didnt want to start twice. And yes i had my foot on the brake.

 

was the check eng light still on after it started?
