I have a 2017 Pro M/T and mine have acted the same way from day one. Glad I’m not alone and the explanation from others regarding the specific booster on OR/Pros makes sense to me. My dad’s 2016 Sport does not brake as aggressively as my pro.

I'm hoping the break system is disabled in mine, but in any case they are not supposed to kick in until the warranty has expired. Take it to the dealer.

Ihave not checked under the hood. Im not very mechanically inclined. Most i can do is change my oil and brake pads. What would i be looking for? haha

I bought the truck with 5k miles on it. I feel like that should be enough take make 200 stops? Which is what that link suggest is the "break in" period.

A leak or anything out of the ordinary. I’m not that mechanically inclined either, but I would be looking around to see if there are any fluids that indicate a leak.

    I would have it checked.

And fyi, it’s brake not break.

Yeah and I feel the settle down a little after some time. Still, they’re a bit touchy but you get used to it. Definitely not a huge nuesance for me at least.

Is there any way to tell if my truck has had the recall done? Like do they mark the new master cylinder in some way? I bought my truck right around the time Toyota issued this recall notice. Hoping it may have been done.

EDIT: I ran my VIN through Toyota's recall website and it came up "No Recalls" on my truck. So I look under the hood and my brake booster has a QR sticker on it with a "K" on the sticker and 3 or 4 hand drawn yellow lines across the QR sticker. There's also a small white paint dot on the booster at the 3 o'clock position in this photo. Maybe this will help someone determine if theirs has had the recall done.

I bought my 2017 TRD OR with 8000 some odd miles. It has taken me a while to get used to the brakes, they seemed extremely touchy. Was driving a VW GTI prior for comparison.
