?

Will I end up with a functional 5.7L Tacoma?

  1. Yes. I watched you're video and I have faith in you.

    37.8%
  2. Probably. I mean, you already have a whole Tundra for parts.

    41.1%
  3. Maybe. If you're a Toyota tech and have an engineering degree.

    14.3%
  4. Probably not. If it was possible, other guys would already have it done.

    7.6%
  5. No. You're blowing smoke or you're delusional.

Love it haha! There's definitely easier ways to notch a tube with an angle grinder though! Instead of cutting two V's, cut the end into a =V= (the = being the tube you are mounting to the end.) they will fit in almost perfect. If that makes any sense. There are videos on how to do it on youtube

I like the way you did that bumper. Would be awesome to do something like that with mine to get lessen the approach angle some it looks like you did quite a bit.

If that tundra is a 4wd you should look into swapping the front diff and rear diff. The front is a 9" and the rear is a 10.5" much more skookum than our little wimpy ones.

Oh I know. But I already shelled out the money for RCV's Ultimate CV axles in the front and a 10.5" GM 14 bolt rear (that I'm swapping to 6 lug and installing now). The only way I'd use the Tundra stuff is if I could also use the front hubs and make the whole truck 5 lug which I'll look into since I have a whole truck here to experiment with. Oh and btw, this Tundra is smashed pretty hard - the front stub shaft carrier (not sure if thats the proper name for it) is broken. I should post a video of the Tundra. It's really hurt!

Thanks! I'll have 4 trucks at Motorama in the speed show if you happen to be there. Feb 16 and 17. And I have a used car dealership just outside the Carlisle fairgrounds called Red Circle Performance. If you're ever in the area, stop by.
