Stayed with a 24 for direct fit. I believe you would need to do some work to fit the 27 but easily doable

So I have a Northstar 31M with the Pelfrybilt cage in my gen2. Will that setup move right over into a gen3 Tacoma?

FYI those looking at the X2Power, they're advertising a 10% coupon, but this coupon works for 20% - CDP13175

    Just ordered a 27F for $72 off.

Everything work out as far as getting it mounted on your 3rd gen battery tray or did you replace it with the 2nd gen tray? Also, are the terminals on the same sides as the stock battery?

I haven’t put it in yet, but I bought a group 27 tray (not OEM) from Amazon for $6 that I plan to use.

I’m about to order the battery. Could you check to see if the terminals are lined up the same as the stock battery? I’m sure I’m overthinking it but want to make sure It’s as simple as removing the old one and plugging in the new one without having to make any adjustments besides getting a new tray. Do you have a link for the tray you purchased on Amazon? Thanks

20% off using CDP13175 is confirmed! The code is valid through March 7th, per the site. $62 off on an X2Power AGM group 24F if you buy online and pick-up at the store.

No, it’s the easiest mod you can do. Make sure your new battery is the same size or you may have to get a riser.

Take off negative first then positive. Reinstall pos first then negative cable.

You guys that are upgrading your battery, while under warranty...… Consider this.

Get a new one from Toyota. Remove it you want to upgrade anyway. This way you have a "backup" battery for giving boosts, instead of messing with your new, high priced one...

And if you are called by your nice old lady down the road to jump, repair, clean her battery,.... you would be a real hero by installing the Toyota one in her car (if it fits)..!!:bananadance:

Ugh... I'm glad you asked. These are on the wrong side... But they have the same one with the terminals on the right side, just make sure you get 27F and not just 27 like I did. I used their vehicle selector, but maybe I went back and picked the wrong one somehow. Either way, the part number for the model with negative on the left side is SLI27FAGMDP, as shown in this picture from ih8mud

So I just talked to the guy at the store and they're ordering a the right one and I'm taking this one back later.

I got this tray and cut the little tabs off the sides - https://smile.amazon.com/attwood-Ba...8196785&sprefix=attwood+batter,aps,227&sr=8-2

Good to know. I've had the 27f battery in my cart for a bit and will make sure it's the SLI27FAGMDP before i checkout. Thanks for the info!

I too am looking to replace my battery. I’ll stick with the 24F for a factory fit. Did you go with Northstar or the BatteriesPlus version? My 2017 is sittting at 12.3V resting and have had multiple occasions of a very slow dragging startup. Once up skiing this season I didn’t think it was gonna crank. Toyota said it was fine. Shocker. Here is mine. Terminals are corroding as well as the battery tie down.
