Parked my taco over night in the top lot at a ski resort in Western PA.

There was a warm front that's was pushing a cold front. This storm system was being followed by another cold front.

Taco was parked. It was cold then it rained then it got even colder. I came back to the taco and it was covered in 3/8 an inch of ice .

I had to shatter ice to get into the driver door. Took a few hours to clear the ice off the windshield . The ice scraper just bounced off till the defrosters got hot enough to soften it. Even after that I could only chip enough away to see out safely.

Drove to the low lands the sun helped me clear the rest .

Ice stayed on the whole 3 hr drive home. Put it in the garage to thaw out!

I had the same fun here in southern Ohio plus several inches of snow added to the mix. Wife's SUV and my motorcycles have the garage and the truck gets the carport. Carport doesn't work if you forget to put the truck in it the night before.

    I know, I know!
Mmm! Looks like you have a little bit of frost. I just cleared 18" of snow from my hood.

Same thing with me in southern Ohio. I had the infamous frozen breaks on Sunday morning. Finally broke free and sounded like a shotgun going off. Scared the hell out of me!!

No issues. Handled as expected . GPS even took me down a completely covered road . I did the old emergency stop test to check grip . I was in 4x4 and the truck took over with all it's electronic braking stuff and I thought it stopped me pretty well. Obviously no snow tires but if you got caught in a storm or do minimal winter driving they would be fine.

I was thinking of getting them for my truck my only concern would be the tread pattern doesn't look like a good winter tire, reading tire reviews some say they are great traction and others say no snow traction

Had the same here too, I parked my truck up against the side of the house to limit the amount on the drivers door.

yes I was looking at them too Yokohama Geolander HT-S only issue I have is my engine is the 4 banger and a lot of the best premium all season tires are 34-35 pds. per tire and it hurts the performance somewhat pushing more rubber than the OEM tires which are 32 pds. unfortunately
I bought the truck as a daily driver and im trying to keep the performance and mpgs the same as factory.

I had Geolander AT-S's on both of my old 2nd Gen, they were decent tires, not sure how the HT-S differs.

thanx for the infos this is what im reading in the reviews about them LE2s they are adequate for the first winter then as the tread wears they become not too good. another tire im looking at is the Kumho Crugen HT51 is a Korean version of the Michelin Defender at half the cost, but again im getting some reviews that haven't been overall stellar compared to premium brands like Michelin https://youtu.be/oCy4v-o246U
