I think as long as people understand it's rough going into it they will be able to prepare. It's a good place to ride with someone with full armor if you're not sure so you will be good with the trails. Then if you are too can bring your rig out. Also I saw a live Armadillo for the first time at Wolf Caves and several deer near camp. It was kind of cool to get to enjoy the wildlife while wheeling too. It's one of the least developed parks I've ever been to.

What about trying to organize a group Big Bend trip on say Labor/Memorial day type 3 day weekend (for most). Lots of wheeling and sightseeing to be had out there and with a few exceptions it's mostly 2wd friendly.

I have no problem doing research and planning if there is enough interest for this. Ideally, early spring/ late fall would be the best time temperature wise. But it's more dependent on when people can get the time off.

    Just FYI,
Don't know if the shutdown will still be looming in March (let us hope for everyone NOT) but Big Bend NP is still open 24-7 but there are no visitor services (stores, fuel, saftey ect...) until fed funding resumes.

Yep, pretty much just going to play it by ear.

Already have our sleeping accommodations booked (could not convince my wife to camp with me but we are staying in a teepee in Marfa for 2 nights)

Is that the one that's shared with 10-15 other people? The one the locals call Camp Deliverance?

At this point it's an idea and we can move it to whenever is most convenient for those interested.
Maybe with blessings from high command ( @ChadsPride ) I'll set up a feeler thread which can be converted to a trip thread when/if it comes together.
