Deadening the floor is by no means a walk n the park. But so worth it. Helps if you have an alternative DD so you don't have to rush through the project. Did my floors, walls, doors and ceiling last year and I love it!

How did you notice your bushings were toast? Making sounds or it was just visually bad?

I replaced one of mines last year as it was making popping sounds and it was driving me crazy.

I wonder what this popping noise sounds like? I've got a fairly loud popping/knocking noise coming from the front passenger-ish side and haven't been able to nail it down for months. replaced sway bar end links, removed the strut and checked UCA's and LCA's for any wiggle or movement. Perhaps it's these bushings

The popping I had wasn't very loud, but enough to annoy me. For a 2014 Tacoma, neither my mechanic or I thought it was the body mount. I was able to replicate the sound while driving my truck over a piece of 2x4, but couldn't replicate it while the truck was stationary. And I shook the truck pretty hard.

My mechanic needed to use the chassis ear to narrow down its location and I decided to go for it and just replace the body mount. Popping noise disappeared and hasn't come back.

My OEM battery dropped dead last summer, but that's FL heat. I was seeing slow cranks and fluctuating voltage on the OBD reader. I have a few LED adds, so i decided to go with an Optima yellow top. I figured a semi deep cycle battery would be less finicky than the OEM starter battery.

I didn’t sound proof the floor becuase I wasnt 100% sure if my rear windshield leak was gone and I wanted to be certain before installing anything else beneath the flooring. It’s so quick to pop everything out of the cab I’m not concerned about doing it twice. In fact after seeing how much crud was under the floor it should probably be done every few years.

Since installing I did drive it with the new flooring and it is definitely louder so I will be sound deadening sometime in the future. Probably tackle it over a weekend and just do the floor and rear of the cab.

Good information. I can't replicate the sound either at a stand still, jumping all over the truck like a monkey on crack and still nothing. I'll try driving over a board tonight and see what happens. If it's just a body mount i'd be stoked

They were very squeaky and visually were just pancaked. After removing them it was obvious they were on their last limb. Truck rides way better after I replaced them, so needed to be done. Eventually going to change out the body mounts with ES bushing when I have time.

I have the @CaliRaisedLed Side Shooters attached. I think I can get these wired to my switch but a video of how to take apart the dash on a 2015 would be nice. Does anyone have a link to something like that?

Where is the switch located? If you want it to the left of the steering wheel its super easy. All you do is remove a 10mm bolt by moving the driver kick panel out of the way and removing the bolt, then under the coin tray you'll see a small rectangular cover and once you remove it you'll see the other bolt. remove both bolts and the lower dash and gauge cluster just pop right out with a little tug.

The only blanks are the small buttons in the area of the cig lighter. I did find a little vid of what you explained and I suppose the rest isn't much harder.
