I'm thinking it has to be the IOTech if I want him to tune it, right? I don't see that on your website. Maybe I'm doing it wrong...

Yes I0Tech if you want to self tune / have a tuner tune it.

We will have a new version of p5Flash (our flashing software) available soon that will allow for ECUs to be updated via TSB or to SC from NA here soon. Developer is working on it right now.
Once finished, there will no longer be any unsupported ECUs.

Regarding working on new features. Happy to do it, just need a few trucks willing to work closely with us on it. Since we do not have a 4.0 test truck.

I've done some research but would like to clarify, if my truck currently has the OEM TRD tune for the supercharger, and I wanted to switch to say the OVT, would I have to get a new ECU? I read somewhere that once the TRD SC tune is on the ECU, its on there for good...

Ok, cool. Will you ever put up a list of tuners using the software?

For those of us with a Flash Tune kit that have not received a tune, could we exchange it and upgrade to the Self Tune kit?

Is any of this able to work with the handheld tuner or will the IOtech be a complete additional purchase for self tuning. I thought the handheld tuner would allow for self tuning.

It's completely separate and different, I don't recall saying the handhelds were for self tuning.

You are correct. Poor assumption on my part. I thought the purpose of the handheld was for manipulation. Otherwise, why waste money and design on an LCD that does nothing more than what a USB does just transferring files. I just feel like I wasted money at this point but that was the risk of early buy in I guess.

I did not design the handhelds. I have no control over their features. The point of the handheld is a way to provide people tunes. Many people want a "handheld" of some kind to load tunes. As a result, the product exists to do just that.

May, thank you. I tried looking back to find it, but estimated cost for IOtech was around $800??

not quite $800 and that is only if you need everything. If you have the flash kit (with orange OBDII cable) then it's less.

if you have a handheld then you'd need a full kit. You could sell your handheld and we will support the new owner

@OVTune will the iotech be able to flash the SC calibration? or would we need both the iotech and p5Flash? Also how much will the p5Flash cost?

Do you know if you can detune the SC calibration with iotech to run NA. Just wondering if I ever decide to remove the SC.

handheld - Comes with handheld, tunes
flash kit - comes with V3 Flash cable, P5F, Tunes
i0tech - Comes with V3 Flash cable, PCMF, Tuning Software (editor, logger etc)

P5F is not related to i0tech at all.

i0Tech can flash updates and SC files. But once you flash a SC tune you cannot go back to a N/A tune.

You can detune a S/C file sure.
