You can do it, just take your time (if you have it). I didn't know what I was doing before I did mine, and I survived.

Except now I have a nice, loud clunk going over bumps, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me.

 

Do you have OME shocks in the front? Because it's a thing for them to "knock"

 

Nope, Toytec 2.5 Coilovers.

I lowered them about a 0.5" to and re-torqued everything and it's still there.

 

OEM Bump Stops? If you cranked it down that much maybe the issue is that you are hitting the LCA in mid compression creating that thud sound?

 

I thought all toyotas clunked.

 

OEM Bump Stops, yes. It's still lifted probably 2.5" over stock. Maybe a touch less.

Any quick way to tell if that would be what's happening? I've researched this topic for awhile now, and have basically just accepted that this is how the truck is now. Haha.

 

Take off your sway bar and see if it goes away. I have seen it contact items on a truck after lifted.

 

Even with a sway bar relocate kit?

 

This. Throw it in the trash, too.

 

The sway bar relocation that came with my icon kit causes my sway bar to rub. I’m about to pull it off.

 

Mine didn’t even work.... somehow have it on without the relocation kit.

 

You don't need sway bars until your mirrors hit the road...
