Thanks JB! What is the "pin removed" you are talking about? It looks like a pin in the rail in the front there. What am I missing? And would longer bolts have helped? Seems I could go even higher, maybe 1.5".

I am short but I don't have a problem seeing over the hood I just want the seats more like a bucket without having to recline the seat back so much and pushing the seat away from the steering wheel.

A little something every chance we get.
well, no one is breaking down the door, but the price has you beat for sure. I'm hoping they can find a neglected DC somewhere in the group, and brighten it's life!

See the red arrow in the photo. It’s the head of the pin. It extends about 1 inch below the rail. It goes in a locator socket in the floor. If it’s not removed the seat can’t move forward enough to get the front bolts in with that many washers/spacer.

I agree, comfort for me is #1. Why I recline the seat so much and push it away from the wheel. My knees start to get cramped and I need to occasionally stretch. I keep the rear of my Lexus seat as far down as it will go and then raise the front with a little seat back recline. Then I keep the seat just far enough away from the pedals so I can extend my legs to stretch. The only alternate seating position that is comfortable for me would be to have a "chair" like seat in the truck. That would require it to be higher but even higher still in the front so I can achieve the bucket feel. I am definitely going to look into all of this real hard. This is something I can do over the winter.

Ahhhh, I think I envision it now. So the pin makes contact with the floor out of the socket and that is why the bolt won't go into the threaded hole?

If so, wouldn't more washers and a longer bolt be the ticket, if you didn't want to cut it off?

No, because the rail front is at an angle and the back of the rail is flat you are working in two plains at one time trying to raise the seat from the floor.

Ohhhhhh, so there is an absolute limit to how high it can be! I thought when you said the front bolt was hard to get started you meant because of length!

Well, damn! That kinda limits ye then to what you have. Which compared to stock is a huge improvement.

Now, let me ask you this. How much danger are we putting ourselves in if that pin is not in that socket? That has to be there to keep the seat from moving forward off the rails, or taking the rails with it. Or are we into uncharted territory and should ask questions like this at this point?

I went back with the equivalent of grade 8 in metric bolts. The two pins are maybe 6mm. If I sheer 4 grade 8 bolts that size. I’m already in a very bad place. I don’t think those two little pins are going to help me.
