I have a 50s Lodge that's smooth like that. And yeah, world of difference.

Do it with an orbital sander. Start with about 40 grit, then work your way up to at least 120. The smoother it gets the more nonstick.

My grandmother gave me a cast iron that belonged to HER grandmother. It was cast in 1908 and is more precious to me than anything I own. Good thing I don’t have to worry about losing it if the house burns down.

Good call on sanding down the newer cast iron stuff. I'm going to need to do that with the set of Lodge pans I have.

So after spending a bunch of money on recovery gear and being unable to accompany any of my friends off into the mountains for some snow play. We ended up at the Oregon coast this weekend instead. I was told you can drive on the beach at Fort Stevens but the tide was way too high for that to happen. Beautiful day and a beautiful way to watch the waves

    $210 bucks o_O.

I'd rather spend less and build something to do all four tires at once with an adjustable air relief valve. Hook up, set relief valve to say 12psi, one valve to relief valve and have it drain tires till set psi. To fill just adjust to desired psi, hook up air, and go. Once at pressure it'll let out the excess air
