I've seen some trucks where the topper appeared flush with the bed. Others have a bit of a lip that is aesthetically unpleasing to me. I just had a Leer installed and mine has the biggest and unsightly lip I've seen. Why is the gap so big? Is there anything that can be done? Pics below. Also, the dealer left these wire connectors in what i consider to be a less than professional location. Is this typical or did they just shortcut? Thanks!

That all looks good to me. It can be made to fit only so tight seeing as there’s slight variables from one truck to the other. As long as it doesn’t leak, I think they did a good job.
If you take those stickers off the side of the bed, it’ll look more natural and flow better.

Well you made me and my bad back go up and look at mine, just installed XR on 2019 OR. I think mine looks good, so here is a point of reference. I do think perhaps that my cap is taller than standard by about 1/2 inch, based on rack fitment...but whatever, rolling with it.

Loosen it off and try moving it to the position you like, mine fits perfectly flush at the back but seam 1/4 of at front. I think there is some variance between caps from coming out of mold maybe ? I agree that wire looks sloppy and should be tucked away better. And you'll have leaks from the front corners FYI its the bed design not the cap, Ive almost got mine completely sealed but not perfect.

I used my own cap seal (bought) instead of the flat foam tape provided with the caps. So mine sits higher off the rails and I don’t think it looks too bad (it still hangs past/out a little)

I’ll try to remember to get a better picture. It’s not a leer but I think the same applies between the 2 brands

The front header part of the cap seal wasn’t placed in the right spot- I should of and will eventually move it closer to the outside (paint side) so both bulbs sit on the front header rail

Some might not like that this thicker seal will raise the cap off the rails some, especially if your used to and using the thin foam tape.
