Definitely love the Pro look of the tire

 

I think what I like best about them is they look solid and they're not too busy. Sometimes these new rims have too much going on for my personal taste

 

I believe if you were not in the vehicle at the time it won't increase your rates but you'd still have to pay the deductible. Thats what they told me when my truck was keyed, but my deductibe was too high to make it work filing a claim anyway.

 

Best tire size. I’m gonna switch back to 255s on my next set. Which, awesomely, will be a while. These coopers don’t seem to wear. Not so awesome for my wallet. truck is thirsty. Boom juice is expensive.

The 285/75R16 E-rated Maxxs I had gave a better ride than the 255/80R17 E-rated Maxx I also had. But the 255s were lighter, so the truck felt a little more zippy.

 

It's not worth getting back into the roof, it's been fixed once. Had a tree fall on it the summer after I got it. The truck now is pretty much just for wheeling and nice day use. I just plan to repaint the areas and then the exo cage will cover the damaged metal. I'd rather take my $200 ($300 off my deductible for being a good driver) and put it towards other stuff. Truck has it's fair share of scratches and dents now anyways

 

No desire at all to go 285's to me nothing but a headache and more of an expense than to go 255's. Don't want aftermarket wheels, or spacers to fit my OEM wheels, cab mount chop, trimming fenders etc. Not worth it for a little thicker of a tire

 

I have 285's and have none of that done. It used to rub upfront but my plate bumper made that go away

Actually if i were to have just one set of wheels I'd probably get 285/75/17's. 34 inches with new gears and be done with all that

I might do that on the 4Runner. I've heard they fit with a 3" lift.

 

For me, it wasn't an option. Short of running a scraper across my hood, that shit wasn't coming off. I even pulled over on my way to work before getting on the Pike and everything was still solid as can be. Going to try again before heading home. I have a solid couple inches of ice on the hood and on the bed cover. I can punch it and not put a dent in it.

 

He was just being lazy...He got a bucket of hot water and dumped it on and it all melted in the parking lot

 

Rob your on OME lift? I'm planning on that tire size, is that a good size for the trails we run as a group? The 255 looks really small, I have them on my work truck..

 

285s fit just fine stock on an FJ with factory wheels.

 

8in wide wheel ? My PRO 17sare 7" I'm sure I'll be fine lol

 

Rob you still want those 4.10s when they get pulled?
