The seatbelt is basically the two colored plug, but wtf could all that be, cynicalriders picture seems to have something that resembles what I am looking at. Ideally if its like aftermarket shit im just gonna tell them to rip it out.

Gonna need better pictures. That looks like an aftermarket module of some sort. Could be a complement to the Viper like a Power Window Automation System or like a LoJack.

Only electrical under there is BN1 and BN4, and since you don’t have a locker then it’ll only be BN1 which is definitely not as populated as that mystery harness.

BN1 is for the rear end. Taillights, fuel pump, etc. BN4 is for the rear locker, if optioned. Your truck will have BN1, but only populated with one ground wire.

I’d be interested if you were ever up in the Bay Area. Don’t have much time nowadays to drive down to LA.

I think its the BN1 connector, I just got off the phone with them. They are proceeding on other things while they go circle back and work on that. It COULD be an alarm, I asked the service manager to have the technician call me to ascertain exactly what is wrong. They basically just said its all zip tied together.

@BartMaster1234 clutch post, They also said something about the other side under the other seat the same thing, stuff is zip tied together. I'm at a loss when it comes to wiring and harnesses. I have a feeling they are gonna kill me on this.

On second look it could be BN1. I say aftermarket module because BN1 is under the carpet, you can’t see it unless the carpet is up. We definitely need more pictures.

I also don’t understand how a Toyota dealer won’t know what that is. All they have to do is remove the seat and take a look at an FSM to identify if it’s aftermarket or stock.

Do you know how much a rear axle would be to ship?

The technicians know, the service adviser did not.

Got off the phone with him it is BN1, he said "the thing that controls tail lights, emissions, ect ". There is also a trailer tow thing jambled in there which I told them to remove.

I think the PO jerry rigged something for the trailer to work.

If it was a stock trailer module it would be under the rear cubby. Most aftermarket plug-n-play harnesses plug in at the taillights. That could be a universal module that you have to splice yourself, although I don’t understand why they wouldn’t do that at the taillight.
