As previous generations get older and leave the workforce this will continue to change slowly from the "If I don't see you at your desk, you're not working" mindset to a "I don't give a f***, as long as you get your work done" mindset. I took a SIGNIFICANT pay cut to have the latter at a job to have the freedom to work where I please. For example, I worked from Sun Valley last week.

It seems like most "tech" companies will hire someone with a pulse and "graduated" from one of the MANY 12-week coding schools... What sucks is that these new "grads" make more money than me and I have a full education, could design and build a computer from silicon and write the software to run it. Oh well, I'll be crying myself to sleep (with tears of joy) once I move into my camper and live on the road in December when my lease is up. :drunk:

Shoot me a PM next week. I've injured my shoulder/neck to the point I might be taking time off work in the next couple days.

Interesting. :D I might need to check into these 12 week get rich quick schools.

Any plans for where you'll be hanging out? Or planning a road trip with stops wherever?

Nope. First step is to find an acceptable camper for my 2003 short bed. I have a lead on a Four Wheel Camper that is out in California, so I may start the trip there and then just spend the winter in the southwest with my mountain bike. Maybe Baja depending on how much stuff I get rid of first.

I went in to have the suspension worked on where another dealership left a part out of it. The alignment was part of putting it all back together.

I leaned away from the alignment when the issue was still present after the fact. I also don't see how just getting bigger tires can affect alignment if all they do is take the wheel off, balance, and mount again.

Sounds good to me. I've only surfed twice and apparently I am ok. I prefer land or smooth clear water or rivers.

If you want to go crazy deep, start thinking about networking over HAM and you don't need cellular hot spots...

    Well now I'm confused.....
But the symptoms you're having are from being out of alignment. Except for the "knock".
With proper alignment, your wheel will be straight and the truck won't pull.
Something bent won't cause these things to happen even with a good alignment. They'll prevent you from getting a good alignment. A good tech will tell you something is bent preventing proper alignment or they'll align your truck properly.
You can have a perfectly good alignment with a crooked wheel (it's just sloppy work) but the truck won't pull with a good alignment.

Anyone interested in a set of LT265/75R16 Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2's mounted up on 1st gen Tacoma/Tundra wheels? I picked up a spare set of wheels to match mine and mounted up a set of lightly used Nokian's and currently living in north Boulder with no resort ski pass, I'm rarely up in the snow & cold temps enough to justify using them. Usually I carpool with friends or my KO2's get us to Moffat Tunnel to go into the backcountry.

Freshly mounted and balanced at Barnsley Tire in Boulder. Wear indicators state >60% tread remaining and I measured them to be 11/32" tread remaining - all 4 tires are evenly worn around the circumference as well as across the width.

LT265/75R16 123/120Q Studded - with the studs removed since they were pretty work out from the previous owner driving on Boulder Canyon pavement a lot and studs really aren't useful for 98% of the population since they aren't driving on clear, dry ice where studs actually help.

$400 takes them home and out of my back patio. I'll even throw in a FREE spare wheel or three if you want them (same exact alloys).

    These wheels:

Last time I surfed was during the Vans US Open of surfing on Huntington Beach in 2017.

The real surfers were about 1/4 mile north on the beach though. All I seemed to be doing was getting a good workout, a chest rash and drinking a lot of nasty water.
