These are 285/70r17. I meant to say I think they look just as good as the 75s :) a lot less cutting involved too.

Sure am glad this thread was started! About two months ago I got the itch to do a few more "mods" if you will, to my 2016 Tacoma Xp "Rockstar" edition. The wheels/tires that came with that package were the "XD series XS811 Rockstar II's" 17x8 Satin black with typical factory offset. Tires were BF Goodrich AT's 265 65 17's. So after I hit about 25k I decided to upgrade my set up.
I went with 285 70 17 Falken Wildpeak AT3's along with the Fuel D561 Vapor, 17x9's w/-12 offset (I believe). It helps that my brother is sales at one of the largest online tire/wheel places in the U.S. He had ability to look up fitment for everything as well.
It should be also noted that I have Bilstein 5100's on all four corners with setting on adjustable fronts all the way up {almost 3"s} and a 1" block on back to maintain level look.
Needless to say I am VERY happy with the end result.
,*I must add that there was a little tire/inner plastic fender rub at full turn forward and reverse. I bought a $20 heat gun at Harbor Freight and slowly worked the forward fender plastic clear of any rub and everything is absolutely perfect. I'm sure going up another couple inches would still look just as killer, however where it sits now and the aggressive stance from front and rear is everything I wanted, and more.

I hope this thread isn’t gonna turn into a 285/75/16 and 285/70/17 thread like the other 285/75/17 threads from people that don't know how to read LOL!

Anywho I have 285/75/17 Geolander G003's coming in this week. Excited to see how they look mounted in person.

Mountain Hatch makes the flat tailgate cover. Very nice quality! The flat surface is more comfortable to sit on and it allows you to sit items on it without them turning over. Its food grade also so you can prepare food on it. Similar to cutting board material. mountain hatch.com

Are you using a Molle rack to mount that, or another route?

It’s the Tacoma mount from RotoPax. Mounts to bedrail. Very simple to mount and solid as hell. Around $32.00 for the mount

good thread, I am planning on running 285/75/17 Ridge Grapplers here either at the end of this month or beginning of next, depends on when those new ray 10's get in.
