@OVTune Mat if you have a version that was “too touchy” in 6th for say a 5000 lbs truck it might be spot on for a 5800+/- lb truck.

This is a little concerning to me. Any notice of that with the other tunes?
I wonder what measures OV is taking to make sure the fueling is correct?

Only noticed it the one time. I’ve been on OVTune since 1.01 22k miles ago. This was the only oil change I noticed the fuel smell and I sniff test the oil every change. I’m going to change it again this weekend to give it a clean fill.

The dongle is great for the consumer for the simple fact that you can change the system you operate it on at will. My laptop crashed and I had to swap and other than a USB 3.0 issue it was seamless. I can understand why Mat swapped to the other setup for convenience. The dongle set up was probably taking up more of his time to get everyone set up. I feel he probably made the swap to streamline things on his end a bit.

Fueling is tightly controlled by closed loop fueling.

Direct injection can create excess crankcase fuel vapors. A well regulated PVC takes care of it to a degree but get a PVC oil catch can setup to truly see how bad it is.
It gets worse during winter where start up is open loop and more fuel is required, and piston wall gap is looser, resulting in more fuel getting past the rings.

Ford actually has tables in the ecu setup to help minimize this on ecoboost during cold starts. Toyota...havent found such tables.

That makes sense. It’s been in the high 30’s and low 40’s here in the mornings.

Confirm this tune is called 1.06? That’s what it showed when I downloaded it.

Mat named the folder 1.06 to prevent confusion with the 1.05 v1. It's actually 1.05B and the individual files reflect that

I'm a dummy, copy that. It's been unzipped and I dragged the individual files to the regular OVTune folder I have. Flash complete, just letting truck warm up for 15 minutes then its off to a test drive!

10 minutes is sufficient. We don't need a repeat of additional time being tagged on to the initial idle time for no reason. At one point people were recommending that people idle for 20-25mins

Truck also doesn’t need to be warmed up to flash.

Flashed my 2016 Sport MT for the first time this morning after an early morning email (Thanks Mat!).

Unbelievably different than the stock 04B11 calibration. It delivers so much more of an engaging driving experience. Any speed, any rpm, any gear is possible with the engine's responsiveness to the throttle with 1.05B. Orange Virus is undoubtedly the best performance upgrade to the overcome the lackluster performance that Toyota delivered. I'm waiting to see if I'll get an MPG improvement, but that would just be the icing on my cake and make this the perfect upgrade on all fronts.
