I'll wait and get the GEs and watch for the others. Thanks. Pretty happy with the Osram 9s. I'll watch. Thanks

Thanks for all the legwork @crashnburn80, ordered the GE +130's from Powerbulbs. Didn't look to see if this was mentioned but they have everything 20% off. $36 shipped from the UK.

I’m pretty sure the 20% discount is always there, but occasionally they go down to 25% off. I ordered a second set of h11’s for the photographer I went aurora chasing with two weeks ago as a thank you; he’s got a 2016 TRD OR with stock and it was scary how bad they are compared to the GE’s in my truck. Should be here this week I hope.

Led is terrible in the snow. My head lights freeze up. Anyone else. Looking for the best output for the stock housings.

Is the filament in a high output H11 the same size as in a standard bulb?

I'm actually wondering if one might actually get a better hotspot in some housings with a standard bulb rather than a high output, even if it's fewer lumens. Anyone know the answer to this?

crashnburn80, Thanks for sharing your hard work, I ordered some GE +130s also, based on your recommendation and other TW endorsers. I hope, I can get at least 150-200 hours I don't drive a lot at night but, my aging eyes can use the added performance. thanks again

Without testing them, I’d have to wager they’re going to have the same problems as every other LED in a halogen housing. Lower output, high glare, worse performance, but they’ll be white lights.

Cool. I'll see how they are . Now the six million dollar question. Modding these to fit in the lows. Have all four Bulbs the same. ??

Well that is what I am going to test and compare to the GEs as well as to standard H9s in the highs.

Man. If they work good you'd only have to keep one type of bulb. Can't wait.

I've been lurking for months getting great information from all of these threads, LED, ultimate halogen, HID.

Pulled the trigger all of a sudden and purchased the GE +130 from Powerbulbs yesterday.

But that's not enough, I have to go HID. I've been off-roading in the deep, dark, desert night all winter and I've had it! I can't take it anymore!

    What's the consensus on these:

The optional wiring harness offered by these guys is very enticing, I'd go for it. But I'm mostly concerned about the ballasts. Radio noise, fast fire up, low power draw ect...you know the routine.

Open to opinions on the best HID kit out there, but it must be 4300k! Also is there a bulb out there that doesn't have the bounce effect?

Guess I'll put the GE's in the fogs?? -Kirk Out

thats what i purchased from diode dynamics...4300ks and their harness and ballasts....it is a perfect HID solution for me...I too have purchased the GE +130s for a trial in the low...very simple to disconnect HID and install the Gs for comparison.....the folks at DD are great and will answer any questions you have and will walk you thru instal if need be....the harness and ballast aww very easy to install and route.and hide.....have no radio noise at all

Crashnburn80 has done extensive testing on all these bulbs and has offered many solutions and perspectives on lighting...he is the guru of lighting.....you will not be sorry with the decision to go DD......

I will probably test the GEs in the low beams with a Rallylights harness......if that does not work out well, i will use the GEs for the fogs.....either way, i will have a great light setup...HIDs with DD harness and 35w ballast for the lows and GE Ultra Megs +130s for fogs.......good luck with you project

Lots of T4R guys go with the 4300 Philips HID's from Xenon Depot. They seem to be a pretty reliable and consistent bulb.
