also it has a 60 month free replacement which comes to 5 years hopefully that's a full replacement I didn't see any small print about a pro-rated type situation. the walmart everlast touts a 5 year warranty but the fine print on it is a 3 year full replacement with 2 years pro-rated replacement. if its a 5 year full replacement that's the best warranty ive seen on any car battery

Fabricated up a tray out of 13 gauge steel and made a new hold down. 1/2 inch dimple dies fit perfectly into the factory tray location holes.

I also put battery on charger over night and after 3 hours of rest it’s sitting at 13.2 volts!

Took advantage of this deal and went with the 27F Group battery. After rebate it costs $282. The only thing I had to do is run the battery clamp underneath the battery carrying handle since it wouldn’t fit with the handle down. I zipped tied the handle to the clamp to prevent any rattle. Here’s a pic of the old battery tray and new battery installed:

I know where I'm buying my next battery. I'm going to go with the 24F, it's a better fit than the 27F and should suffice for my needs.

Just hope they offer another rebate and 20% off soon!

Saw that, my factory battery should last at least 6 mos so I'm hoping they will offer a better discount by then. I'll keep an eye on my factory battery for gassing or corrosion in the meantime. I don't care for lead acid batteries, had too many of them (mostly cheap factory batteries) start leaking and corroding the paint below the tray.

I used to buy lead calcium batteries by Delco Remy, these were sealed no maintenance batteries which held up well and would go 4-5yrs on average. I worked for a large truck shop and we used them in every truck and auto in their large fleet. Then Delco Remy quit making them, and I no longer worked there.
