Yea, bud. Read the fine print when you sign up for 3a. I've towed vehicles that other stations wouldn't because it had rims and exhaust tips. It depends on the drivers and shop owner. They can refuse to tow a vehicle for any type of mod. Look at the post above from the 3a employee.

Bet he didn't have gas in his can. A lot of guys were weird about that, like they were paying for it.

    Like, so many.
That's wild. I've had a few vehicles towed. All modded. I guess no one makes money for refusing to tow a vehicle.

So a driver can just say, “You have after market wheels, so nah.”?
Surely it has to be more than that. A driver would need encyclopedic knowledge of factory wheels and tires. What about a CAI, or non factory exhaust? Is it really just up to the driver?

It's up to the driver. Every company has the rights to refuse service for any reason. I dont even have AAA for that reason. They have refused and damaged lowered cars I've owned. I now just pay out the pocket for a tow and request a driver that is good with towing super cars!! Lol. I usually had to sign a waiver saying that if they damage my vehicle they are not at fault just to tow my lowered car.

Did you watch them chain up your truck & say nothing?
I trust no one & watch them like a hawk. On my hot rods, I carry my own straps because everything is powder coated & I don’t want chains touching anything. Some drivers are very good, others are about as dumb as a box of rocks.
My last tow was my 34. Called AAA & they show up but say AAA won’t tow modified vehicle. However, he would accept my CC. After tow, I went to AAA & was told same thing- no tow. Told them I would cancel (36 yr member), they then opened a dispute. 5 weeks later, I got a check in the mail for the tow.

I would have gassed it, and drove it up on the bed.

Yes I did watch but not from up close so I couldn’t actually see the hooks going into the cv axle. But I 100% saw the hooks. My truck was in the road with 60mph traffic so I didn’t get too close

I'm gonna guess that the driver was getting paid $15 if he towed it and only $7 if he put gas in it. The reason he wouldn't put gas in it was so he could make more money.

I pay myself $50 yr. for tow insurance. Stick it in a mutual fund. Have never used it. Now it’s in the thousands. Hehe

Get rid of triple A if paying. Get a good cell phone and call a friend.
