Just finished the Subaru Kicker Tweeter Upgrade on the Taco. What a difference. I read the post on here about how good it was but couldn't really understand until now. If you're on the fence about it, I'd definitely recommend it! I've attached my version of a really crappy how to video, but it only took me about 15 minutes to do both sides. A lot clearer now and I don't have to put it on vol 40 just to make out the words haha.

Part number is in comments on the video if you're interested.

Speaker upgrade is one of the best things I've done. That coupled with the sat radio makes driving soo pleasurable.

For some ridiculous reason, Toyota cannot upgrade the sound system on an MT Tacoma, regardless of trim level.

Picked up my pro MT yesterday. Didn’t even notice I didn’t get JBL. I test drove the auto. That sucks. I’d still take the MT but that’s annoying. At least it was a good bit less expensive than the AT.

Got the 19 Pro with JBL audio in it. You're not missing anything, the entire stereo system in this car is garbage. I can't wait to re-do everything.

Coming from an old taco, Im pretty satisfied with the stock speakers. But I will definitely do this.

I'm blown away I spent 48k on a new car that doesn't have HID's, Remote Start, auto sensing wipers and a good stereo system.

It is no big loss, the budget speaker upgrade sounds better than the JBL anyway.
