    This.
The 4000 rpm eternal rev hang drives me nuts. Driving normally, this truck doesnt have that bad of a rev hang even stock. So good to hear that its gone.

Is the remaining rev hang a limitiation of the drive by wire throtle motor? How fast can it theoretically "snap" back to closed when you let go of the gas?

I am no throttle expert, but my initial thought is that it could close as fast as the actuator allows it to. I did just read this short article that describes the “purpose”...I found it interesting and wanted to share.

‘Recently, manufacturers have been intentionally implementing rev hang within ECU programming to save themselves from a potential emissions scandal. When the throttle is released and the clutch is dipped, an ECU with rev hang is programmed to leave the throttle slightly more open than usual.

This strategy is used because it was found that suddenly closing the throttle produced a sudden spike in gas pressure within the crankcase which emphasised the rate of oil vaporisation, thus adding to emissions from the engine. Also, when the throttle is suddenly shut, the fuel mixture suddenly becomes lean which creates NOx (oxides of Nitrogen) which also contributes to emissions.’

its not gone ,its only gone on his truck, i had the TSB so cant see why its different on any other models.the rev hang kicks in at approximately 2700 rpm and lower.as to how fast it can drop, you will know when reving above 2700rpm.

still sending, some people I cannot find your email, likely if you used a fake name for your email. like "kittensbob" or "paintballs" etc so please send a ticket if you have a weird email, include system id and ecu id, and name.

Excluding 2019, we should have any missed people done by end of day tomorrow.

I'd also appreciate any feedback about 1.05B.

Flashed today 1.05b 91. We recieved lot of snow in the last 2 days here and every roads are covered in it so i just tested in 4hi(in 2wd all the improvement are masked in tire spinning). Even in these far from ideal condition this tune is awesome, the smootness, throttle control, all exeeds my expectation. I can't tell about power, in second gear today i was starting to go sideways 4 wheels spinning.
Will report back when i can try on dry roads

105b 87oct from a quality perspective the tune is excellent.
Under 200k it learned quick in my truck and is very smooth.however I much preferd the tip in on 105a apposed to 105b.i understand you are trying to work around the DFCO and the drive line lash for the smoothest transition but I prefer to deal with a few clunks than delayed throttle.i also noticed a muting of power in mid to lower mid rang over 105a.if this is done becuase its 87oct and longevity of the engine is in mind than it is fine.if it is done for fuel efficiency than I would prefer more like 105a.

Initial impressions of 1.05b 93 octane are good. Need to burn a few tanks of fuel, and let my muscle memory re-learn before I can give any real feedback. 7k redline is pretty cool, and it gets there quickly in first gear.

Update- I was able to spend some more time behind the wheel this morning and the rev hang is there, but it appears its only when above 5000 rpm. I only had limited data to sample, since I did not have many spots to 'test' during my commute this morning. I will update more if I find more data that suggests something different. I really like the throttle calibration (tip in), the engine responds extremely well and overall I am really happy with the calibration. I will update with more information as I can/get it.

    So far 1.05B is excellent.

My Taco has always felt that it was being robbed of what felt like 20-30 hp & torque with the ac/heater turned on with 1.04r. Whenever air was on, there would be 7-10 second rpm surges from 500-1000 rpm. This caused a ton of problems for me since the surge would dip as soon as I put in gear to take off (I would occasionally stall out this way). Either lugging or burning the clutch in first gear. Very embarrassing and frustrating to drive. Now, there is basically no surging with the air on (excellent!!!) and it feels like my truck gained back all of the power she would lose when AC/heater was going.

Shifting is 100% better and a dreamy! You knocked this out of the ballpark.

I can't say I have noticed any "additional" power gains with the 93 octane over 1.04r, however, I can say the truck is utilizing it's power much much better and more readily! So instead of being robbed of the little horsepower I already had with the AC on, the truck is now hammering out the power that it has.
