Sorry $33,921 minus fees. OTD was ~$37.2k

Freeman Toyota up in Santa Rosa. Well worth the 6 hr drive for me to save nearly $4,000 from what Bakersfield dealers were quoting me.

Hit up Aaron and mention that Justin with the Cavalry Blue Tacoma from Bakersfield sent you.

He will hook you up with a way better deal.

Here's the screen shot of the quote he sent me:

I had what could've been a frustrating experience, but your patience is key. I've got 3 Toyota dealerships withing 10m where I live. I figured out what I thought would be a good price on a 19 Pro, 45.5 +ttt. I went to all the dealers and said this is what I want to pay. 2 said no, 1 said sure and to give them a deposit (was mostly done online other than the appraisal). Was looking for a simple black one without the desert air thing, nothing more or less. The problem was finding one and there's not a lot of the 19 pro's that don't have the desert air intake. 2 months goes by, 1 of the dealerships that said no called me saying they got my truck. They basically took the 1 car in the area knowing I was buying at another dealership and after talking to the dealership where I was doing business, that was my truck and the one they were supposed to drive and pick up for me, but the other guys got to it first. The fishing tactic didn't work on me because I wasn't in any rush + I knew I already had a deal elsewhere.

I went to the dealer anyhow to look at the truck, they were trying to f with me until I basically told them I'm not signing or even wasting anyone's time if they can't match the deal on both my trade and the new car. All this crap about they're not going to sell it to you for that price or they're going to change the deal, etc... I'm like whatever dude. This dealership came in 2,000 less on my trade-in appraisal 2500 more on the sale of the truck. I walked out, was patient the whole time and it was easy to walk knowing that was my truck.

Ended up telling the other dealer to call and get my car. They called and we're getting their balls busted for a few days. Just some real slimy crap. Got it a few days later. I ended up calling the other place saying thanks for finding my car. Just know who you're dealing with and make them understand that you're not budging on the deal. Get your trade-in appraised before talking money on the new car too.

Is there still a cash rebate in some area's? Nothing here is the NE. I'm hoping maybe they will offer something for Presidents day.

If there are not sales you can still bargain the deal. That's all BS anyways.one dealer told me they could only do 5% financing. I used my so ial skills and got another one down to 3.8.

I’ll second that. My local dealer could only give me invoice + $200 for my Tacoma and they couldn’t beat my credit union rate at 4.49% but then I drive 6 hrs to buy the exact same truck for $1,500 BELOW invoice and they just threw in an interest rate of 4.10% to sweeten the deal further.

If you guys are looking at prices.....do CostCo or USAA or any of your discounts!

May be a bit higher but simply take a look at them.

Just be happy with your prices.

Everyone can get a "better deal" but in the end........

If you are happy with what you paid, then that is an AWESOME thing!

YOU are happy and your salesperson is happy..........build the relationship and move on!

I would never buy a car like that. I never discuss trade, financing, extended warranty, etc. until after I have a sales price on the vehicle I want.

I recognize the high profit Pro is different, but I am not changing what works for me.

Thankfully I have purchased several Toyota’s from the same guy, so my deals are five minute phone calls and maybe a couple of emails.
