ARB front with KC HiLite’s. LED backlit grill and ARB. Century topper. Lots of stickers. LED interior accent lights. Sleeping platform / storage platform. Rear topper LED lighting. Anti-steering-rack-zip-tie-mod.
More progress on mine today. Sanded some, painted some, fitted my tie downs, cut some drawer deviders, painted and sanded those. Took all day day. This thing is coming along so slow.

Simple suspended shelving. Haven’t seen anything like this, so I wanted to share.

Replaced the factory bolt for the topper tracks with a stainless one of the proper thread. Same length, could have used stock bolts but I had everything already. Used a coupler in lieu of a nut. Threaded rod into that, with nylock nuts all over. Threaded rod is slightly bent to apply pressure to the side of the cap with the shelf. There’s a little nook in the cap the wood sits in. Might do some Velcro angle things for extra grab if needed. Simple cheap floor underlayment cut to shape and coated with spray urethane. Would probably spend the extra money for something a little nicer next time. Bought some bungee and did up the webbing. Just finished so haven’t tested yet, but very happy so far. Also pre drilled holes for random bungees and such. Good beer holder at the least...

Automotive carpet from Napa to cover the plywood. I'm usually drunk when I sleep on there and it makes me appreciate my bed when I get home

If you spend any time in there you might want to trim the excess and use acorn nuts or t-nuts on the bottom to protect your scalp. I like it.

Is your camper shell a high roof shell? Seems like that may be too snug for my shell.

It's the ARE MX series. Not cab height, but not super tall either. I'm 6' and it's snug back there with a futon mattress. Sleep with the head to the front of the truck so these aren't in my way.

How is your visibility out the back when driving? Both with the camper shell and with those shelves.

Shouldn't affect it at all since the shelves are above window height. Obviously the topper corners and window frames block more than a bed cover. Adding a platform and loading it up will block what remains leaving only side view mirrors.

It's fine, I was driving wagons before this, I miss having a wiper on the back window in the winter.

Shelves are above the windows so do not affect sight line at all.

The worst is when I forget to take the curtains down before driving and then it's only side view mirrors.

I bought a Renogy Solar System for a hunting shack I have. I have thought that the kit made for campers would be great for a cap build.

Do some poking around, there are some threads with all of that info/: charge monitors, dual battery systems, isolators, different ways/places to mount, you name it. And welcome to the forum.

Cant wait to see the solar setup. With pics, what you used, and how you ran it. I am thinking about setting one up on mine.

200W (2×100) Renogy rigid panels with tilt mounts. Gonna mount them on my Thule racks. Decided to run solar wires thru the sidewall of my cap using a marine circular gland feedthru.
