Cig lighter stopped working

out of no where. No other electronics having issues. I’ve tried different plug ins, so it’s not my device or adapters. Any ideas on why?

 

probably plugged something in that tripped a fuse

 

Did you check your fuses?

 

Thought of that, but too tired to check panel. And I assumed the cig lighter would be tied in with some thing else. Think it’s a stand alone fuse?

I am not 100 percent sure, but i think its under the dash, not under the hood, and it is Poutlet1 or something like that.

 

Yeah near your left foot sitting in the cab. I think you're right it's P/outlet 1

 

Success. But holy shit, that was a back/shoulder breaker getting down there. It was P/Outlet1. It’s a 15. I only have a 20 that will fit. Any harm in using it?

 

If you put a 20 where a 15 should go you could cause a fire. I would do without until you get the proper load fuse.
