Oh. Well I still stand by my statement. If they just changed meetings to pot luck lunches I could get on board though.

 

I've learned to embrace the fact that if we were hit by a nuke, I wouldn't even know it. Close enough to arsenal to hear explosions regularly, in a building with brick walls have a history of crumbling under their own weight. Might see a flash outside or something because I have a window, but wouldn't be done wondering if my eyes are playing tricks before the shock wave arrived...

Driving underwater doesn't work very well. Ask me how I know.

 

I'll see if I can dig up a pic. Happened right at a year ago. Swamped the alternator and lost all power when I got stuck. Flooded the interior. Was a very bad day. And it was cold. And snowing.

 

That was my rule too until the bottom of the road fell out from under me. Lol.

 

I still think integrating LED "ditch" lights into the side mirrors would be a cool mod. I still have a set of T4R side mirrors to play with for that but just have never gotten around to starting the project.

Snorkels almost becomes a necessity at any tire size past 33”. When the fender liners get removed a snorkel needs to go on.

 

I felt like I needed a snorkel/diff breather/boat just driving on the road today. What was James Spann wearing today?

 

Precisely why I got one. I have folks ask how deep of water I've been in all the time...I always tell them I've been up to the bottom of the snorkel intake and had a fish hit my windshield.

 

So...thinking about replacing all my badging with retro custom made badges...”Toyota” where it says “tacoma” on the sides....TEQ logo where it says “SR5” on the sides and the 4WD where the 4x4 is on the tailgate...I think it’d be a cool retro custom look. Thoughts?

Hey guys, new to Tacomaworld, and new to Tacomas. Always wanted one and finally got one as a second vehicle/play toy. I've been scouring the site for info for maintenance and mods and it's been super useful.

Only have one so far, but here it is

I'm still early in the PM stage. Still have to change the oil in the front/rear diff and transfer case, change/flush transmission fluid, etc. Then I guess the next step for me is to look at suspensions.
