I did get the P1 the other day and I can see why they call it the Widowmaker lol. Jesus Christ that thing's a fucking beast to drive.

 

The Supra in GT 1 was unbeatable if I recall on the original Playstation?

 

The Senna?

 

Yeah... that thing is beautiful and a fitting tribute to the namesake. It's a beast.

 

I saw that the other day. Anything Hennessy touches is fucking unreal.

 

Yup... I remember when it happened. Very few drivers had that natural talent. Niki Lauda was one of those in the upper echelon of top drivers. After that the drivers are still great. Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vittle, Mark Webber, Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, to name a few. But the cars became much more sophisticated that it took some of the driver out of the equation. Not so when Senna or Lauda were racing.

I will say... this is the most ballsy move I've ever seen in F1 between Webber and Alonso at Spa.

 

I'm sure you've seen Rush. That was a damn good movie and I think it portrayed Lauda and Hunt in a pretty realistic way.

 

And to get off of F1 for a moment and fuck Destiny lol... If I could afford any car right now this would be the one.

 

I feel you man, my dumbass paid for forsaken game on sale during black Friday...played that bitch only one time and yea f that cause its just too much work to get caught back up. Don't know what I will do with the game as I think it is probably almost worthless at this point.

D, you going to be ready to sack up when Anthem rolls out? Like Rear view said, people are going to be all over that game...especially considering that Destiny is pretty much a non factor for this road map along with the mystery of if they can even be a real publisher from here on out. Its going to be fun to get back into the mix when it comes out.

 

I'm in the exact same boat as you with Forsaken. I'm just not going to spend the time on a dead end game. I jumped into Rearviews boat and pre-ordered Anthem with the expansion pack. I've been playing Warframe but its a little above my pay grade kind of game. To many little nuances that I dont understand. I'll keep struggling through it, but I am really just bidding my time until Anthem releases, then I will be full time in that I think/hope. I am just hoping that it is as good as I want it to be.

 

That's a bummer man that you are in the same boat, but where rear view is with D is where I have been with destiny ever since the first one. Sure, I wish I didn't buy the latest forsaken, but I'm so numb to D being a bad investment that somehow I was expecting this. Only game franchise I have developed this accepted loss just from buying the game. I think what helps though is I love the ace combat flight sim games and damn if the latest iteration doesn't deliver in almost everything I wanted from it! Top of that, I get to pick up resident evil 2 tonight which is so rad as I cant remember the last time I was so pumped to play not just one game...but two!

Not gonna lie though, I'm still nervous and skeptic of anthem solely for the fact of how shitbird D was executed along with the fact that EA has a respectful effort for dicking things up royally at the end product. I really hope anthem is exactly what we want...if not though then I will simply not buy. I am hopeful that anthem will be transparent enough that folks will find out rather quickly if its a solid game or another failed cash cow.

 

I still jump onto D2 pretty regularly, but I'm usually only on for an hour or so at the most. Picked up Forsaken and really couldn't be bothered with even starting it. Hit 560 the other day and that's where I've plateaued so far. Have had fun running Escalation Protocol every once in a while, but I mainly just do patrols and shoot baddies.

Tried to get into Warframe from all the glowing reviews, and I just don't know if it's for me. I need to devote some more real time to it, since I downloaded it so long ago, before Plains of Eidolon came out.

Anthem looks intriguing, but like it's been said already, I'm waiting until some real reviews come out before I drop the coin.

 

You and me both on the waiting game, but lets be honest...D has passed into the next realm.
