Each time I'm there there's always some type of shenanigans occurring (people way under the influence, racing/donuts on the beach, etc).
Think of it as Deer Park Ave in 1997, but with sand and a nice view ;)

Definitely! But I wouldn't mind the occasional derelict golf course as well...

Looking for info on Robert Moses state park. Do they allow beach buggies and beach camping there? Website doesn't seem to have a ton of info I'm looking for.

Oh dear lord lol seriously? That’s your argument?

It’s Long Island there’s literally traffic noise all the time and it’s quiter than living near an airports.

When it’s placed in a proper location those are negligible issue at best.

OH OH OKAY lol my bad I couldn’t tell through the text. Hahaha

Yeah seriously I can’t stand that argument. Street cars are not going to make that kind of sound and top fuel and jet cars if allowed, would be like living close to an airport.

    Sooooo I don’t get it.

Let’s make our own track. I’d donate. If the “LINADS” crowd would just do that we’d have one already. Buy land and build the shit. But then there’s insurance and stuff so who knows.

setting up a "club" is part of the trick to opening up something like this and avoiding the insurance premiums
(not saying to go with no insurance, just not insurance for the entire public)

moto1 in calverton is kinda like that I believe, not really a MX race track and it is advertised as a club

the difference is just having open doors to the public vs entrance via private key holders only

I assume the private gun ranges we have on the island have something similar going on

you ever see the mini dirt track in the backyard of a house adjacent to Nicolls rd? its on the east side of Nicolls, driving south as soon as you cross over middle country only a few hundred feet later look into the woods

the front of the house would be on S coleman rd for reference

For future reference, has anyone ever wheeled our beaches when there’s snow on the ground? Not sure if that’s a sure fire way to get stuck or a really fun adventure.

Definitely tougher than normal, but lots of fun. The top few inches of the sand essentially thickens up from being mid freeze/thaw.
It's similar to silty mud where it'll conform to the wheel's shape, hindering progress.
