hey all, wanted to share something i found in regards to these lights.
    https://jalopnik.com/why-some-trucks-have-five-little-lights-on-the-roof-1830914130

"Even more recently, I’ve noticed people putting Raptor-style grill lights on Toyotas. Looks pretty cool. But be warned: there is a chance a disgruntled cop could get you into trouble over “misrepresenting the size of your vehicle” by having these lights on a vehicle that is under 80 inches wide."
He does go on to say,

"That’s just a forum rumor I saw, I can’t find any actual laws against little aftermarket amber lights. But I figured I’d pass the info along all the same."
Personally I like them though but food for thought.

I hope the disgruntled cop has a tape measure and has his body camera recording to prove the grill lights with my truck are in violation of the law.

If a cop is "disgruntled" he'll find any reason to give you crap.

100% sure correct position. I put it in the INJ slot and it works perfectly. Leaving it there.

I actually moved mine again to the INJ slot. The headlight fuse was fine. But I think I like it better in the INJ slot. That way It works with the headlights off and it's on when I switch to my DRL position. It comes on with the truck and shuts off with the truck.

i may have said this before but i left mine in the EFI 1 position because my wind screen is tinted and it fools the sensor so my light turn off and on randomly while i keep switch in the auto position......They still go on and off with engine starting and stopping with 5-8 second delay......

Raptor lights are the new Altezza tail lights of the modding world. I do think they look cool but nope I think its one of those things that only belong on a Raptor. Kinda like the TRD Pro emblem only belongs on that model.

I get it. But putting the amber lights in the grill isn’t the same thing as putting a Pro badge on a non-Pro Tacoma. Nobody with grill lights is calling their Tacoma a raptor. I think it’s more like putting the pro-grille on a different Tacoma model. If you like the look.....go for it.

Excuse the noob question but I'm using an add a fuse and am going to use the INJ slot in fuse box. My add a fuse has 2 slots. I just need to put 1 10a fuse in it and leave the 2nd slot empty correct?

there should be a 10a fuse and 15a fuse........15a is for lights.......i believe the 15a should be the one directly above the pins for the fuse

No sir. One is going to be the fuse for the lights you’re adding, the other slot will replace whatever fuse you’re pulling to add the “add a fuse”.

This was a gift. It was the 1 from Amazon and did not come with the add a fuse, just 2 bare wires. I bought the add a fuse. Should I use a 10a or a 15a for this amazon 1? The INJ slot is 10a.
