Yeah, anytime we can get a bargain on Taco bits, especially from Amazon, it is a bonus....our various levels of government have conspired to make our Tacoma mods at least 35% higher than our brothers and sisters below the 49th. i see an inherent unfairness in that :annoyed:

So I saw a post with someone who had a grille made by ECG Fab, and really liked it. Came to find out they went the Pelfry route about a year ago, and couldn't find anyone else who made recessed mesh grilles. So, I decided to make my own! I bought a stock grille off craigslist, hollowed it out, bought some ABS off Amazon, cut it up into 2" strips, epoxied and sanded the hell out of it, cut my mesh to fit, etc. It was a process, but that's half the fun with projects like this, right?

Little before that I also updated my headlights to a more subdued, stealth look from the dual halos I had before and refined some problems with the secondary projectors, and gave them a nice red, passive demon eye to go with the TRD lens etching from TRS. Anyways, here's pics, kinda hard to see the grille in the pics with the lighting but pretty happy with the look.

A little before and after shot

AND I actually want a little input too, do y'all think the black bezel or the color matched bezel looks better? I'm kinda leaning toward black myself.

I've gotta say the worst part of following this thread is the money I've spent on parts and I don't even have the damn truck yet (due in next week)! On the bright side a lot of you guys have given some awesome tips on necessary mods and additions to these things

Wasn't sure what that was. Thought it might have been lotion to go with that stack of napkins. o_O Didn't want to call anyone out. Glad you were able to clear that up.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
