Right? Wonder if they got it down without any serious damage to the landing gear/wings.

Part of my "chores" in AK was to go to the airport and sweep off the family, friends, neighbors planes. Never found anyone with wheels up, thankfully!

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
Brought lunch to the Tucson TRACON yesterday to thank them for professionalism during the shutdown / working without pay. Amazing group of folks over there and made me reminisce about my old ATC days in the Army.

These are usually more entertaining when depicting the end of year flying, but it has been so busy that I'm only three weeks into the year and have already flown over 80 hours.

I’ve flown only 35. Wish it was more. I’m running out of Netflix shows to watch while sitting around the crashpad.

The Air Force has enlisted Drone Pilots now. They go to Colorado for initial flight training in a DA-20 Katana.

There are enlisted Sensor Operators and Enlisted Pilots.

"The Enlisted Pilot Initial Class training was created to provide more pilots to the RQ-4 program and ensure the Air Force is able to keep up with the high demand for its ISR products."
The AF started this in 2017, they carry the title "Pilot".

They are operators, not pilots. Once they sit in the aircraft and fly they can call themselves pilots.

You’re both doing better than me. I’ve got 6.3 flight hours and probably have spent 50 hours in the cockpit for grounds runs.

They go to Colorado for initial flight training in a DA-20 Katana. They Pilot these regularly to maintain Pilot status just like the Os.
