How come these tires don't get more attention?

Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner AT. Been out since 2016. Rated #2 on TireRack. Rated #3 out of 17 from ConsumerReports. The very few independent reviews I can find seem to lean towards these being at least a 'good' all around AT tire. They are mid priced, very lightweight, supposedly quiet on the road, good availability. Seem to bridge the gap very well between a good road tire like a Michelin Defender LTX M/S and something like a C or E rated Cooper STT Pro or a Goodyear Duratrac.

I just went and looked at them as tires will be needed soon and I'd never heard of these tires.
-I see alot of better options for the price. $154 on tire rack.
-very little sipping for extra traction
    -not snow rated
-not very aggressive looking for the "look"

    I'll pass

The LT's are severe weather rated.

Exactly my thoughts as well. A well mannered road tire that can handle more snow and mud than say a Mich Defender LTX M/S. But without paying the weight penalty of a C or E rated true off road tire (and less noise!). These seem to be a Duratrac 'light'. Most of us don't need a Duratrac or a Firestone MT2 or the like.

    Like, so many.
Maybe look at the Nitto Terra Grappler G2. Super solid tire, tons of reviews, great onroad, very quiet, and can handle offroading duty.

I had a set of SL-rated Cooper RTXs before I went to the ST Maxx's I have now. I was super impressed with how far it would get me offroad, and held up to some things that I really thought it wouldn't.

39 pounds made it a pretty light tire too (at least compared to my 56 pound Maxx tires)

Depends on your definition of "off-road".

They look like a watered down version of a General AT2 or BFG KO2 tread. I bet they'd do pretty well for most light offroading. I bet they could handle a lot of what Utah has to offer.

Gravel, dirt, Utah slickrock, mild snowfall. Def wouldn't take on the Rubicon, but 99% of people don't drive that stuff either.

I get what you are saying but understand not all of us are traversing 2' deep mud pits, consistently traveling through bumper deep snow, or climbing up rock walls.

FWIW, I googled the Goodyear off brand Kelly. The Edge A/T is 98% the same tire. A little less siping and a more basic sidewall. I'm sure the rubber compound is not as good as well. The few reviews I could find were very positive. No, it's not a hardcore off-road tire. It's intended to be a good highway tire, a good winter weather tire and a tire that can handle the normal sand/gravel/muddy roads or fields the average guy is going to see. The folks who bought the Edge A/T seemed very happy with their purchase including one fellow who updated his thread until he hit 40,000 some miles.

They don't last at all. My brother ran them, hated them, replaced them. I have lost faith in goodyear's longevity, especially on p-rated tires.

I put these on my red Tacoma and liked them. I only ran them for about 10k miles so I can't really comment on long term durability though.

They were great in the snow. The most off roading I do is around the farm and very light trails to camp so they're fine there too.

How were they in light mud? Muddy farm lanes, soft muddy dirt/gravel roads, soft fields. That sort of thing. Not referring to 3' deep 100 yard long mud bogs.
