#1 up top the rest don’t have the #1 then the thin last baffle on bottom. Line up the key slots on the baffles. The obsidian should have a pic of the correct orientation. I can’t recall if the oculus does. I’ll take a picture tomorrow.

#1 is closest to the barrel? In my mind that's on the bottom.
Also when it was new I had to use leather wrapped pliers to get one of them apart tp dip them all in silicone to hopefully make cleaning easier. Now it's not coming apart.

#1 closest to the barrel. Don’t clean when new. Let the obsidian go for 1000 rounds and the oculus ~500. They come tight. That keeps the tube clean.

I highly recommend you do not use these bolt handles. I tried putting one on my 700 back when I had it and it broke clean off and had to have a gunsmith put a whole new handle on. Biggest pain in the ass Ive ever dealt with.

Damn that not good. They make a 2 piece clam shell design that does not modify the original handle. Or did it put too much leverage on the soldered connection point?

So Brownells is making an AR180 upper.

The upper is self contained, so any folding stock adapter should work. No need for buffer/spring in the lower. Looks like this+a decent folding lower could make a fantastic AR18 derivative that beats the SCAR/Bren/ACR on price, and possibly features.

Yupp already have one on preorder

That looks like the badger ordanace handle and I dont think those are bad. If you want a bigger bolt handle do it the right way and ask a gunsmith to chop the handle and thread it so you can put whatever you want on it.

Tried to order a Century Arms C39V2 at the show price ($600), but I’m not a dealer so it was a No-Go.

Though the time it takes me to save for it should give them time to get reviews out for it. I hope it runs well. The 180 design is super interesting and I agree that it could be an interesting alternative to those rifles.

Any hammer fired sub compact 9mm with decokers out there? CZ Rami is all I can find and that's also pretty rare. Currently carry a PPK, but would like something in 9mm.

What's that one that Springfield just came out with recently? The XDE or something like that? I think that's got a safety that doubles as a decocker, right?
